Winter Blackburn

"I want to play." He said with determination as I frown.

"Then play." I snapped.

"I meant with you, Stupid."

My eyes widen in surprise.

"Fine. Whatever you say, idiot."

"I want to play too, Winter baby." Cavis ran by my side before hugging me.

"Cavis, stop being a baby. You're too clingy." I scold him.

They said Cavis was just my age but he acts like a baby younger than a six year old.

Travil shook his head and pushed his brother off of me before pulling me by the hand.

"Let's play hide-and-seek, Cavis. You're it."

"That's unfair, Travil! You can't hold Winter baby's hand like that! Fine!" Cavis yells as he turns to the wall and started counting.

Meanwhile, Travil kept dragging me from room to room. Looking for a nice hideout. I rolled my eyes and took the lead this time. I pulled the hand he was holding on mine and led him through narrow rooms until we stopped by a large closet with large doors.

The doors have tall handles where children like us have to stand on a chair to reach but it has a secret door just below it. I pushed the button from under the closet and the small door opened.

Travil was stunned to see this but I pushed him in and followed behind him as we sit quietly in the small space.

I can hear Cavis's small footsteps as he walked towards our way. He stops by the closet and I heard him groaning a bit before walking away.

"He was trying to reach the handle." Travil whispered as I stared into space.

Travil was seven years old so he's older than me, but I feel like I'm older than him in many ways.

I turn my head to look at him to find his grayish blue eyes staring at me through his gray hair. I don't know why but I like the way his hair looked a lot like his eyes. They were gray.

He was facing me with his small hand slowly caressing my face.

"You're beautiful, Winter." I hear him whisper.

I felt my cheeks in heat as I looked anywhere but his eyes.

"You're blushing."

"Blush-- what?" I ask with a frown.

"Your cheeks are red." He smiles as he poked my cheek.

When I didn't respond, his face leaned in towards me. I froze when I felt something light brush my lips. His eyes were closed when something was placed on my lips. They felt soft and it feels like I was kissing a marshmallow.

After a few seconds, Travil backed away with a smile on his face.

"My mom and dad always do that. They said it's how you show how you love someone." He explained as he brushed the hair out of my face.

"Winter, I love--"

"Lady Winter, Master Travil, where are you?" I can hear the maid call.

Travil sighs as I push another button to push the door open. I crawled out with Travil following behind.

"Aha! I knew you two were hiding here!" Cavis exclaimed as he points at us.
