Winter Blackburn

That old bastard. First he kidnapped me and the other three, then forced me to a deal, and now he's trying to take my job from me. I didn't know they have something related to Travil.

We stopped by a mini store and Jason went out to buy goods. Travil stalked off for some reason and the driver stood outside, leaning against a post.

I pulled the phone that I sneaked from the man I just killed and dialed a number, placing the phone beside my ear

"You called. Did you get it done?"

I growled at the sound of the familiar voice.

"You bastard." I said in grit teeth.

The other line went silent before I hear an answer.

"I knew you'd call."

"What the heck is your deal, old man?" I half whispered and half yelled.

"I merely pushed him to his limits. Did I tell you that our organizations have been enemies for years now?"

When I went silent, he took the chance to continue.

"He despises me to the fact that it might kill him one day."

"Considering how an ass you are, there is no surprise."

"I want this done, Winter. You have limited two months to figure it out."

"I did not agree for that matter in our deal, Parker." I angrily say, side glancing for a few seconds.

"You are taking so long to catch the boys. I entrusted this mission to you and your allies for the sake of my plan."

"And that plan involves me kicking you because you're a pain in the ass. I know what I'm doing and you can't criticize me."

The other line went quiet and I waited for his answer, hearing a sigh.

"Just get it done. The second you decide to tie them call Armin for backup. It might be hard for you to win against that guy without blowing your cover off."

At the exact same time he said that, I spot Jason on his way to the car. I end the call, squashed the phone under my boots, and disposed it out the window on the other side from Jason.

Since the window on my side was tinted, Jason had to knock and I pulled it down.

"Travil's not back, I see." He said, a bit frustrated.

"Where are we heading?" I ask casually, although all I wanted to know was their rivalry with Raymond.

"There's a city filled with gangsters and apparently, they stole things from the Swift mansion. So the boss wanted to see the their leader himself. Travil doesn't like being ordered so we'll just destroy them. That scarlet hottie and Cavis will meet us by the checkpoint."

I feel my eyebrows twitch but I shrugged it off when the door on the other side opened and in came Travil.

Jason leaned back and called for the driver before getting in the car with us.

"Hey." I heard Cavis's car door close with Autumn walking towards me.

She looked like she wanted to say something referring to me visiting Spring's borders but I gave her a glare.

'Stay away. We're not safe yet.'

She seemed to understand what my eyes were saying and slowed her steps into a halt. She then turned to look at the city like it's a place an apocalypse may occur.
