Winter Blackburn

My body and mind were still in shock when I realised that Travil is having a hard time with the wound. Apart from that, he was glaring at me, but not as fierce as before.
"Get the fuck out." He ordered but I didn't budge.
I kept analyzing his wound when he rushed in front of me.
"Don't make me push you out." He growled but I stood firm and looked straight at him in the eye.
"Do it. Unless you want to suffer more in your state because any moment the bullet may go deeper into your body till you rot dead." I distastefully replied.
He held my gaze but neither of us were backing out. When he didn't move, I went to the bathroom, cutting our eye contact for the tools I need. When I arrived in the living room, I pushed him on the couch.
He was hesitating but obliged, though I can still feel his eyes drilling through me as I moved. I stood on my knees in between his legs and grabbed a towel with a glass of water, pouring it on the wound. Travil flinched but didn't resist. Washing the wound, I took the pair of scissors and positioned myself.
"Stay still." I said... My voice wasn't the same angry tone.
I placed a palm on his chest where I felt him visibly tense while my right hand controlled the scissors. The bullet was in too deep but I managed to find it after a minute and pulled it out.
Examining the bullet for a second, I placed it down in a metal container full of water and cleaned the wound along with the blood that flowed down his chest and stomach. I quickly bandaged it and sighed.
"That's good enough. You should get it checked with a doctor by the morning." I say, looking up.
I realised that our faces are too close and those grayish blue eyes looked a lot different than from afar. He was staring at me, not the usual glare, nor a gaze of confusion. But it looked like he's seeing someone in me... Someone he once knew and I can guess who.
I cleared my throat and stood up straight, stepping back a bit.
"Sorry for the intrusion. I came here to talk about business matters but I'm afraid I'll have to leave it alone." I say, turning around for the door.
I stopped when a hand gripped my wrist. I looked back in annoyance at Travil but he looked... He looked lost. Like he was wishing something or someone is here but wasn't. Although that's what I thought I saw because in a few seconds they turned back to normal.
"Don't think of this as a way to crawl your way into my life." He says as a warning.
I scoffed, rolling my eyes.
"Travil, the moment you stole me as your slave, I'm already a part of your life. You may not notice or admit it, but it's damn true." I pulled my wrist from his grip and continuously left his room with a sour face.
Tch. It wouldn't hurt if he just thanked me like normal people do.
Who am I kidding? Travil Swift? Normal? Might be in my dreams.

I slumped in my bed, thoughts swirling in mind and a hand over my forehead.
"So... What do we do now?" Autumn asks, crisscrossing her legs with her butt dipping my bed.
"My thoughts exactly." I answered, staring straight at the ceiling.
