Winter Blackburn

By the time I finished showering, I placed the towel over my body but not without cringing in pain. I found that I was treated when I blacked out but Gion broke a rib and my back was bruised due to his strong kick. I went out to prepare myself and looked at the outfit I'm wearing in the mirror.

I was wearing an off-white sleeveless dress that has a balloon skirt that stopped just right on my knees. My feet was covered with two inched black heels with a white pearl on it. It's too girly, but it was the only outfit in the closet.

The door opened and I can see Gion's green eyes roaming down from my face and to my body. Okay? It's pretty rude to do that obviously. He was wearing a black tux but he didn't button his black coat necessarily. His dyed white hair was messy but it only added up to his charming appeal.

He walked towards me but I had to crane my neck up to meet his expressionless gaze. He stared at me for a while before handing me a black coat. Making me frown.

"It's too cold outside and that dress is too revealing." He says before he stands by the door.

It took a while for me to wear the slim coat and it stayed perfectly on my hips like it was part of the dress all along. My dark eyes searched the mirror and found Gion's green ones watching me intently. He caught my eyes on the reflection but I didn't look away. The room was silent though not awkward. Just silent as we stayed like that.

A ringtone rang to break the silence as he placed the phone on his ears, never breaking the eye contact with me. He was talking on the phone while I pulled open the table drawers and found a make-up kit. I placed a concealer to hide the bruise and powder on my face, then applied a bit of color on my eyelids. I put lipgloss on my pink lips and placed three different kinds of earrings on my right ear.

A long chained diamond earring clung on my earlobe but the other two were just ordinary and were pinned at the high ends of my right ear. I didn't put anything on my left ear and left it just like that. I turned around to find Gion silent with his phone down, looking at me.

"The boss wants to see you now."

I nod and walked to the door, only to be stopped. He surprisingly held my face with his cold hands. He rubbed on both of my eyebrows with his thumb and I loosened the frown on my face. Maybe I left a bit of powder there since I didn't put an eye liner. He nods his head when he was satisfied and lets my face go before opening the door for me.

I'm the type to punch someone or glare at them when they touch any part of my body but I'm surprised, this guy makes me feel comfortable. For the first time in all my years in the Mafia, I felt comfortable.

The room I stayed in was perfect for a guest, but the mansion was more astonishing. It was big and all but the colors were only red, white, and black. Like a demon's lair.

We walked through the halls as he leads the way. My eyes roamed the place in caution that Gion might lead me to a trap but he only sighs and grabs my wrist.

"We must hurry. The boss hates waiting." He murmurs and pulls me to a fast paced walk.

We stopped in front of two large doors as Gion gave the guards a nod before they opened the door for us. It revealed a large golden room with astonishing furniture and designs. The tiles were sparkly white that makes anyone scared to step on it.

Gion tugs me forward and bit by bit, I can see a long red glass table with silver wares and glasses. This place really reminds me of... My family...

I felt Gion's hand squeezing mine and I looked up to his tall stature. His eyes were still the same. Empty and dark, but he deliberately let my hand go before nodding towards the table.
