In the morning, you actually awoke peacefully in Sans's arms, no more dreams of the void. You looked up to Sans and noticed him actually sleeping peacefully. You smiled and snuggled in a little closer to him. Sans then shifted as he held you closer. He breathed out a sigh of content making you giggle a little. You couldn't really tell if he was awake yet or not, you just chose to enjoy his comforting hold.

You breathed in as you were pressed against his shirt catching his scent. Granted he smelled of mustard, but he always had some kind of a musk to him. You knew it wasn't a cologne, Sans isn't about that life. Still, it honestly baffled you but it was nice.

After a moment or two of basking in the comforting grasp of Sans, you felt him beginning to stretch notifying you that he was awake. You looked up to him and kissed his chin letting him know you were awake. "heh, g'mornin, sweetheart," sans said tiredly.

"Good morning, Sans," You told him as you pressed back into his chest, not really wanting to get up yet.

"do you know what time it is?" Sans asked you.

"No, I only woke up a few minutes before you did," you responded.

"mmm... well ok, that's fine by me," he said snuggling closer to you.

"Heh, are we just gonna lay in bed today?" You asked him teasingly.

"well... i'd honestly love to just lay in bed with you today, considering the night we all had, but i'm sure paps would not be happy with us, heh," Sans said making you chuckle.

"That is true, you mind checking the time actually? I'm well rested and that's pretty weird," You said actually getting concerned thinking Paps would be mad at you both.

"uh... yeah sure, but only cause i also feel well rested and that's a luxury i normally don't get," sans said, releasing you as he turned over to look at the clock. "oh shit!!!" He exclaimed as he flew out of bed.

"What?! What's happening?!" You asked as you flew out of bed as well.

"it's 3:03!" Sans exclaim as he threw his jacket on.

"Oh fuck!!" You exclaimed. "Why the fuck did Papyrus let us sleep in!? He's gonna kill us!" You exclaimed with worry as you got dressed.

"no. wait..." sans said instantly making you pause. "paps knows what happened last night remember. he must've just wanted you to get some rest or something," Sans said making you hum in response.

"Hm... I guess you're right... but what about you? He wouldn't have let you sleep in," You said trying to clear this up.

"nah, if i get up you usually get up with me," Sans said making you oh a response.

"Oh... makes sense... but now that the panic of the morning is done can we go downstairs for... I dunno... late afternoon food?" You said really just wanting something to eat. Sans then walked over to you and kissed your forehead.

"sure thing, sweetheart," Sans said as he picked you up bridal style making you yelp slightly in response. "before you even protest, you still need rest. in fact, i'll probably still need to take you to alphys today just to make sure you're ok," Sans said making you sigh out a response.

"*sigh* ok fine, only because you think i need to," You said reluctantly. Sans then took you downstairs and sat you on the kitchen counter considering Undyne was still conked out on the couch. "Is everyone still asleep?" You asked sans in a mere whisper.

"i guess so..." Sans said somewhat confused. "you wanna go to grillby's?" Sans asked you. "then we can just go see alphys and be officially done with today," Sans said making short plans for the day.
