Weird morning

Today was... different to say the least. You actually woke up on your own accord instead of Papyrus yelling at you and Sans. You turn and glance at the clock huh 7:49 that's weird. You thought to yourself. When did we go to bed last night? It was like 10:30 or something right? I think so? Whatever, that means I got... you began counting the hours of sleep you got presumably. Wait I got over 8 hours of sleep?! Oh dang son?! You then continued to think. Well I know for a fact Papyrus didn't wake us up so he probably didn't wake Frisk up. So Frisk is bound to still be asleep, and knowing Sans he won't wake up anytime soon. You then turned over to Sans and he looked really peaceful. You didn't really want to wake him up considering you guys got to sleep in, but then again you didn't really want to just lay there, but there was no way you were gonna fall back asleep. Naturally you decided to be weird and just randomly poke Sans just to see his different reactions. First you poked a rib and he just kinda twitched and snorted a little making you giggle. Then you poked his cheek and he had the same-ish reaction. You were a little disappointed but you continued to poke him in random spots until he woke up.

"ugh... (y/n)? what time is it?" He asked you not opening his eyes.

"Well it's 8:04 now. I wasted a lot of time poking you." He actually opened his eyes now.

"wait. how long were you poking me?"

"Heh a little over 10 minutes."

"*sigh* you wasted 10 minutes poking me?" He asked already sounding confused.

"Heheh, yeaaah." Sans just shook his head.

"ya know, ya coulda just woke me up sweetheart."

"Yeah but that wouldn't have been fun. Plus haven't you noticed something?"

"noticed what?" He said cluelessly.

"Papyrus didn't wake us up." He shot straight up.

"you're right!" He then ran out of the room to see what was going on so you followed. Sans was just standing totally baffled as to what he was seeing. You didn't know what to think, the House was empty. Frisk wasn't on the couch and all the lights were still off.

"Ok... that can't be good." You thought aloud.

"yeah... i dunno where the kid is, i'm gonna see if pap is in his room." He said walking over to Papyrus's room. First he knocked saying 'boss' but after the first few knocks and no response he went in only to come out with nothing. "he's not there."

"You don't think-"

"no, no way, he wouldn't." He said trying to ease your suspicions.

"Can you try to call him?" He nodded going back over to the bedroom getting his phone from his desk. He dialed up Papyrus and he answered within the first few rings. Luckily since Papyrus talks so loud you could hear what he said.

"WHAT IS IT SANS?!" He said not sounding very pleased.

"look, boss, i wouldn't have called you without good reason."

"WELL SPIT IT OUT THEN!"

"(Y/n) and i are just worried about you and the kid! we actually woke up without you yelling at us for starters! plus we come out of our room to see that the house is empty! where are you two?!" He said sounding angry with his brother for yelling at him for no reason.

"THIS MORNING WHEN I WAS GOING TO WAKE YOU BOTH THE CHILD ASKED ME NOT TO WAKE YOU. WHEN I ASKED THEM WHY, THEY SAID THAT THEY WANTED TO FREE THE MONSTERS. SO I TOLD THEM THEY SHOULDN'T, FOR OBVIOUS REASONS. BUT THEY REFUSED. SO NOW I AM WITH THE CHILD MAKING SURE THEY WONT GET THEMSELVES INTO ANY HARM." You were genuinely surprised and happy with Papyrus's actions.

"oh... well... thanks boss i'll let (y/n) know."

"OK BYE." Then he hung up.

"so i'm sure you heard." He said putting his phone in his sweatpants pocket.

"Yeah, I'm really proud of Papyrus."

"yeah... me too." You cocked your head to the side in question at the tone of voice Sans is speaking.

"You ok Sans?"

"yeah, it's just weird you know. i never thought paps would be helping a human other than you of course."

"Well I guess he's just learned that some humans aren't all bad," You said with a shrug of the shoulders.

"heh i guess so." He said scratching the back of his neck while he rested one hand against his pelvis. You then swooped in and wrapped your arms around his. "you're awfully clingy aren't you?"

"Pretty much, but I'm mostly doing this so I can drag you downstairs."

"why do that when we can go back to bed?" You gave him a deadpan look.

"Because I can make breakfast, and I'm not gonna be able to go back to sleep."

"alright, fine, you've persuaded me with your awesome cooking." You smiled really big as you both walked downstairs. "so what are you gonna make?"

"Just whatever, you got any requests?"

"what did we have yesterday?"

"Oh, (fav breakfast)?"

"yeah that was good. do you mind doing that?"

"No problem at all." You then released him from your grasp. "Ok you go on the couch and do... Sans things." He laughed at that.

"ok, i can do that." He said as he plopped on the couch. You then laughed and walked into the kitchen to make the breakfast.

~15 minutes later~ (I'm only guessing that's how long it takes)

"ITS DONE!!!" You yelled holding the plate of food in one hand with a pose of success (if it's in a bowl just roll with it). You had also thoroughly terrified Sans.

"what the hell!?!" He said jumping from his laid back position. You laughed at him and put the plate of food on the table.

"Heheheh the foods done bone boy." You said going back into the kitchen for another plate.

"bone boy?! sweetheart you are pushing it." He said to you hopefully jokingly... probably not.

"Haven't I been doing that lately?" You said walking back to the table with your food. He let out a deep sigh.

"yes."

"Heh, well now I feel accomplished!" You said shooting him one of those cheesy smiles and a thumbs up. He laughed at you while shaking his head and then went to eating.

"mmm, this is good sweetheart, probably better than Papyrus... but don't tell him that." He said pointing at you.

"My lips are sealed. So what do you think Papyrus and Frisk are doing?" You said beginning to eat.

"i actually don't know."

"Well, when do you think they'll get back?"

"probably not til later in the evening if the kid wants to explore the whole underground."

"Ugh... ok."

"well you sound disappointed." He said sounding snarky.

"Well ya know I was kinda hoping for some sister time, but whatevs I guess."

"well... you wanna go on a better date than yesterday? yesterday's was kinda... emotional."

"Yeah true. That actually sounds really fun! Just gotta clean up and get dressed. So when do you wanna head out?"

"just whenever you're ready we can head out."
