Sans lead you down the path to the lab itself. You were nervous as to what Alphys would say or do to you, or if she would pry as to what happened to you the previous night. Sans must've sensed your nerves because you felt his grip on you become tighter. "hey, don't worry sweetheart, i won't let alphys do anything bad, she just needs to help us," Sans said in an attempt to reassure you.
"Thanks, Sans," You said giving him a reassuring squeeze back.
"besides, you've met alphys, you know she wouldn't want to hurt you. she wouldn't be good at it, heh," Sans said becoming less good at assurance.
"Sans, that's terrible," You said with a deadpanned look.
"heh, sorry sweetheart," Sans said while scratching his neck with his free hand.
"*sigh* you're fine," You said as you both approached the lab doors. This time they opened automatically, unlike before when Papyrus had to knock.
"hey alph, we need you for a minute!" Sans yelled throughout the seemingly empty lab. You then heard a loud bang from the upstairs section of the lab along with distressed noises and mumbling.
"O-Oh god, I-I thought I l-locked the door," You heard Alphys say to herself. "G-Give me a-a minute!" She exclaimed to you both. Sans then turned to you with a cocked brow to which you just shrugged. You then dragged Sans over to the couch and had him sit down while you laid down, your head on his lap.
"you comfy, dollface?" He asked you with a cocked brow.
"Yeah, I'm fairly comfy," You said as you closed your eyes, thoroughly relaxing. You then heard Sans hum, appearing to be in deep thought. "What up, boo?" You said lazily making Sans laugh slightly.
"uh, it's hopefully not too awfully important but you're looking a little pale, sweetheart." You hummed in thought for a moment.
"Eh... I mean... I'm no doctor but considering the situation I can see why I'd look pale," You said without opening your eyes. "Wait how did you just notice I was pale?" You asked with confusion as you creaked opened your eyes.
"well, if you haven't noticed, everywhere we've been today the lighting was terrible, while here it is impeccable," Sans said making you 'oh' a response.
"Oh... makes sense I guess..." with that being said Alphys came downstairs.
"I-I wasn't e-expecting to see anyone t-today," she said in her normal stutter. "Y-You know there's a brand new th-thing called a ph-phone right? Y-You should try it sometime," Alphys said sarcastically and somewhat frustratedly.
"yeah... sorry we didn't give you a heads up, alph. last night (y/n) had a little... incident. we hope it's nothing, but if you could just do a quick check that'd be great," Sans said apologetically as he explained the situation.
"W-Well, what kind of an i-incident?" Alphys asked as she leaned on her junked up desk.
"Well um... I kinda died?" You said as you sat up scratching you neck from nerves.
"WH-WHAT?! You died!? And wh-why are you two being so nonchalant?! How are you alive right n-now?!" She asked with hefty amounts of curiosity and concern.
"Well, we've come to terms with what happened and we're both still scared, so I guess I'll explain what happened to the best of my extent and then could you give us some advice?" You asked.
"W-Well of course, at l-least the best I can," Alphys said preparing for you to tell of the events that ensued last night.
You then told Alphys everything that happened the first time you entered the void, at least everything you could tell her. As you explained as to how you managed to escape the void she seemed deep in thought as to your explanation and absolutely mortified as to the fact of you dying during your escape.
During your tale of the second experience you had in the void and how much smoother sailing it went, Alphys seemed to hum in thought yet again seeming all the more intrigued by your experience.
"N-Now (Y/n), Th-There's never actually been s-sound proof as to the void's e-existence, but if everything you say is true I'd like to study your sl-sleep patterns and take a look at your soul. F-From what you said a-about your f-first experience in the void, I-I worry that your soul has taken quite a toll," Alphys explained making you nod your head and hum in response.
"Ok, so when would it be best for you to do those things?" You asked as you leaned forward preparing for her response.
"W-Well, I think it would be b-best to look at your soul n-now. I-I can monitor your sleep whenever you feel ready, b-but I a-absolutely h-have to have a days n-notice to prepare my equipment," Alphys said putting extra stress on the fact she needed a days notice. Considering you've just barged in twice with zero notice, you understand where she's coming from.
"alright, that's understandable," Sans said wanting to be included. "so what exactly do you have to do to her soul?" He asked wanting some clarity.
"W-Well, first I just h-have to check it. From there I-I'll see what I need to do," Alphys said answering his question. "Now (Y/n), I'm going to engage in a battle with y-you so I can see your soul a-and it's st-status," Alphys warned you making you nod your head in response. You then saw the color around you fade to black and before you you saw a red soul with black ooze melting over the top of it. You felt unease and fear as you looked at it and Alphys shrieked making you feel even worse about this situation. "U-Uh (Y-Y/n)?" Alphys said, her stuttering increasing ten fold seeing this nerve racking situation. "D-Don't p-panic, l-let me ch-check your st-stats be-before we d-do any p-panicking," she went over to your side of the battle and stood next to you. "O-Ok, I-I've n-never seen a-anything like this before!" Alphys said clearly beginning to panic making you begin to panic. "(Y/n)! Y-Your HP!" Alphys exclaimed. You looked over to where it read 'HP' it had a fluctuating yellow and red line next to it and glitchy question marks for a total amount.
"alphys, what the hell is happening?!" You heard Sans exclaim from outside of the battle.
"S-Sans, en-engage in the b-battle pl-please! I-I don't kn-know how to explain," you then saw a little dialogue box appear that read *SANS ENGAGED IN BATTLE*
"what the hell is wrong with (y/n)'s soul?!" He exclaimed in fear and worry seeing your ooze covered soul.
"I-I don't kn-know, I-I've never seen a-anything like th-this before!" She exclaimed with fear. You felt your heart rate increasing ten fold. You were scared... Scared beyond belief. "S-Sans h-her stats make no s-sense," Alphys said directing Sans's attention to your HP.
"what the hell?" He spoke full of confusion and concern. "well can you do something about this?!" Sans exclaimed getting angry from not knowing whatever was wrong with you. The dialogue box reappeared saying *BATTLE ENDED YOU EARNED 0 EXP AND 0 G*
"(Y-Y/n) y-you stay right h-here, I-I need to speak with S-Sans in private for a-a minute," Alphys said making your concerns continue to grow.
"But, don't I get the right to know? It is me this is happening to," you said getting defensive over the situation.
"I-I underst-stand that, b-but I-I think it would make e-everything a-a lot easier i-if you comply," Alphys said making you reluctantly agree. You nodded your head for the two to leave and you just sat on the couch feeling too many emotions at once.

FanfictionI'm skipping the ruins for starters, so you start out just as you exit the ruins. I plan on this being lemony pretty quick cause it's fell Sans come on. Story does develop... eventually. Plot structure and what not.
