I got a text from Luke a couple hours after he disappeared. *meet me at the football field in 20 minutes xxluke* I followed his instructions.

I found Luke on a bench. I sat down next to him and saw a huge bump near his eye. "Did Calum do that to you?" I asked. "Yea. Please don't make it a big deal." Luke pleaded. "No I will, Luke. Your best friend hurt you." "He only did it because he thought we hooked up." He whispered. "I told him we didn't. I told Calum there was nothing between us. I hate to see you like this." I sigh, pulling Luke into a hug. I took a deep breath and let go. "I'm sorry." I shake my head. "It's not your fault." "Yea it is, Luke. I'm the reason that Calum punched you. I'm the reason he's mad." I retort. I lean back. We both sat in awkwardness until both of our phones beeped. It was a text from Calum.

*meet us at the creamery* "I'll start walking. See you soon." Luke winked, walking away.
