"I'm home!" I yell. Wow I really missed this place. "Codi?" A familiar voice called back. "It's me!" "Codi!" My mom came to the front door. She gave me a giant bear hug. "Hey mom." I whispered. "I missed you so much, sweet heart."

Mom and I caught up. I told her about Alex, Luke, Michael, Ashton, Calum, and yes, even Beth. I told her about my classes and how Calum motivated me and got my grades up. I left out all the drama. "Is Calum your boyfriend?" She asked. "Um, no. He's - he's just a really good friend." I nod, pulling a strand of my hair behind my ear.

Mom told me that she got a raise and dad bought a new car. Right on cue, dad came in. "Codi!" he cheered. We hugged for a bit and took a seat. "Oliver's flight will fly in a little later than planned." Dad sighed. "Why don't you let Codi try out the new car?" Mom suggested. "Are you coming?" Dad asked, grabbing the keys. "I have to finish cooking dinner!" Mom said, scrambling to the kitchen as a timer went off.

Dad hopped in the passenger as I turned on the ignition. "Tell me about college." I told him everything I said to mom.

We came back after we stopped at Dairy Queen. Oliver was sitting on the couch. "Hey sis." He teased, getting up. "How are ya?" I ask, giving him a squeeze. "Great. How is college treating ya?" "Well."

Thanksgiving was just like every year. We give thanks, eat, talk about Oliver's college stories, dad tells his, mom brings out pie, and we watch the parade. This time, I told my college stories. Oliver really wants to meet Ashton.

I take a shower and crawl into my old bed. I really missed it. Mom washed the sheets. My One Direction posters were still up. My signed Good Charlotte shirt was still framed. I got a text from Luke.
