College isn't going so well. I'm behind in most of my classes and Calum has a girlfriend. Guess what, it's not me.

2 weeks earlier

We're 3 months into college. Alex drags me to parties. She has power over me. After Ashton blew her off, she doesn't want me to have a love life. She tells me "If you aren't my wing man or whatever tonight, you can't see Calum again." I know it's very stupid to skip your studying time over some ridiculous threat. But she wasn't kidding.

I was quietly writing a paper for my journalism class when Alex was dressed up. "Come on." She urged. "I'm not going tonight. I really need to finish this paper. "Remember what I said!" "Can you really do that?" "Watch me." I haven't seen Calum since then. I have been keeping in touch with him though.

Today she asked me if she could go on a double date with her. "I'll invite Calum over. I told you, he listens to me." I bit my lip. All I needed to do was read a chapter of my book for litterateur. Nothing big, right? "I'll go, but nothing romantic."

But it was romantic. Champaign, roses,

Jazz band, dim lighting, the whole package. I got a water instead. Throughout the date, all I could think about was Calum and that stupid book. Beginning of the semester: school, parties, boys. Now: parties, boys, --------school.

Like I said earlier, college isn't going in the right direction.
