"Dad! You tryna fly to London for some fish and chips?"

Tony looked up from his spot on the couch. He had a disturbed look in his eyes as he whispered under his breath, "What have I created?"

"So, that's a no?"

It's been a month since Tony's moved to New York full time. Pepper had insisted that they spend more quality time together, and it was perfect timing when the Tower was completed.

At first, it was difficult living together. There were many arguments and shouting matches, but it was nothing a movie and take out night couldn't handle. The duo's similar personalities were difficult to live with but they learned how to stay peaceful (a relief to bother father and daughter). They were finally becoming more of a family.

"Should we throw a New Years party?"

"I'm sorry," Lenna looked up from where she was drawing in her sketchbook. She had picked up the hobby she had in Idaho. With all the chaos she hadn't opened the book since Coulson picked her up. Even when she was drawing-up the plans for the Tower she was using JARVIS and Tony's hologram table. "What?"

"I was informing you of a New Years party I am throwing, but in the form of a question. It was merely a ruse since I already started inviting people."

Lenna rolled her eyes. "Who's on it?"

"So far, I have the obvious: Pepper, Rhodey, Natasha - do you know her? - that Coulson suit guy, your shitty boyfriend-"

"Watch it." Lenna interjected playfully. "Is that all?"

"Well, obviously, I have other invitees, but they're the more work obligated people and are no fun."

"Okay, well just throw the damn party."

And throw the party he did.

Honestly. It was exactly what she expected. A bunch of hot shots all getting drunk together while sharing stories they've already told. It was extremely boring for a teenager, especially one whose boyfriend didn't show up.

"So, he promised he would come and then he didn't."

Lenna nodded. "I know I should feel more disappointed than I do..."

Natasha looked at her pityingly. "You shouldn't be disappointed at all. He's the jackass who bailed. C'mon, I'll sneak you a drink."

The two had been talking all night long and Lenna thought that this was love. Apparently, Natasha wasn't a fan of uptight businessmen either. She had met her dad when he was at his lowest, so her idea of his was unclouded by his fame and fortune. Combined with her ability to treat Lenna like an adult and not a child, she was head over heels for the agent.

Coulson snuck up on Lenna after Natasha left to speak to someone. Sliding up to the girl cheekily, he asked, "Hey, Idaho. How's talking to Natasha?"

"Hey Corvette, how was New Mexico?" she shot back.

"Oh, I'm sure you saw on the news."

"Oh, I did. He was beautiful."

"I can bring you a bit of the robot man."

"Oh, that'd be great."

"So how's Natasha?"

"She's amazing. She is the badass I aspire to be."

"Is this a crush?" Coulson wriggled his eyebrows suggestively. "If you like her you might like the guy we used in Antiguo."

"I have a boyfriend," she said disapprovingly, "and it's the femme fatale factor that makes her amazing. I doubt any man could compare to her."

Coulson mimicked her tone, "I get your point about Romanoff, but I don't see your boyfriend here."

"Whatever."

Coulson had become a person Lenna turned to for comfort. He gave out great advice and he was always traveling, so that meant gifts! When she and Tony would have domestics, Coulson was always there for her and he always helped her pursue any dream she wanted.

"So how was meeting your idol for the first time? Was it just as crazy as you imagined?" Coulson rolled her eyes at Lenna's teasing. She knew he never got a chance to talk to him after he woke up.

He took a swig from his glass. "Shut up. I don't want to hear it from his new bestie." She cackled. "I still can't believe that Fury let you show him 2011. You're not even an agent!"

"Yet..."

"What's this about Lenna becoming an agent?"

Coulson stole a glance at Rhodey from behind his cup. "Nothing. Miss Stark here is not becoming an agent anytime soon."

"Good."

"See ya later, Idaho."

"Bye Coulson." Lenna turned to Rhodey, taking a giant gulp of mystery liquor.

"So all these people don't know who you are?"

"That's right."

"Damn. I'm impressed Tony could keep this a secret. He's been so excited to have you in his life. He doesn't shut up about you to me."

Rhodey gave Lenna a pat on the back and deftly lifted the glass of alcohol from her hand. As always, the mother.

"Boo! Party pooper!"

"Do you know if Tony is going to make a speech?" He glanced down at Lenna who shifted anxiously.

"Last time I checked he was planning to. I don't know if those plans changed at all."

The number of people mixed with the alcohol in her system didn't bode well. A pit began to grow in her stomach, and all the stories her father could possibly tell to these people popped into her mind. Oh god, if he embarrassed her...

"Hello everybody." Tony's voice rang out from the speakers. "I wanted to thank everyone for coming to my party. You guys know you've made it to the top when you're invited to my New Years party--so welcome to the top!"

"I guess we got our answer."

"I want us to take some time to really think about all that has happened this past year. Between the whole exploding-gamma-ray-scientist debacle and the blonde god with his hammer and war machine in New Mexico, you would think my messed up life would be the little bit of normal you need.

"But then again. 2010 has been crazy and shit hit the fan." Tony laughed nervously and made eye contact with Lenna. "I got some amazing news. I'm a dad! I'm a dad and I've got a daughter!"

The murmurings and mutterings of surprise hit the guests in waves. Tomorrow morning's headlines of TONY STARK HAS A SECRET DAUGHTER hit Lenna like a stack of bricks. Heads began their sweeping search trying to find where this mysterious daughter was. For once, she was happy that Rhodey took the liquor from her.

"Now, all I want to do is find my girl and throw a spotlight on her," Tony continued, "but she's taught me to think beyond what I want. But worry not journalists, she will be revealed, but not just yet. For now it's just us. Now onto the rest of the night!"

Tony raised his glass to the shocked masses and exited the stage with no further word. And that was it. That was the New Years rager that Tony had promised. The rest of the night passed with no further ado and Lenna left quickly, to avoid being found by the nosey guests.

When she laid her head on her pillow she was ready to fall asleep, but a call from her new friend urged her to stay awake.

"Hi. Still can't figure out how to text?"

"No, I'm just old fashioned."
