OKY OOE

"Must've freaked you out coming home after the whole defrosting thing," Sam said.

Steve sighed, "It takes some getting used to. It's good to meet you, Sam."

"It's your bed right?" Sam asked, taking a few steps after him.

Lenna's eyes widened, "What?"

"What's that?" Steve turned around.

"Your bed, it's too soft," Sam continued.

"Oh my god," Lenna said putting a hand over her mouth.

"When I was over there, I'd sleep on the ground, use rocks for pillows, like a caveman. Now I'm home, lyin' in my bed and it's like..."

"Lying on a marshmallow," Steve finished for him. "Feel like I'm gonna sink right to the floor. How long?"

"Two tours."

"7 centimeters," Lenna said at the same time. The two men looked at her. "Longer?" She asked feigning innocence.

Sam chuckled, "You must miss the good old days, huh?"

"Well," Steve paused, "things aren't so bad. Food's a lot better, we used to boil everything. No polio is good. Internet, so helpful. Been reading that a lot, tryna catch up."

"Marvin Gaye, 1972, Trouble Man soundtrack. Everything you missed jammed into one album."

"I'll put it on the list."

"Okay boomer," Lenna piped up, again eliciting odd looks. "It's a couple of years ahead of its time."

A beeping noise sounded from Steve's phone. "Alright Sam, duty calls. Thanks for the run, if that's what you wanna call running."

"Oh, that's how it is?" Sam asked playfully.

"Oh, that's how it is."

"Okay! Any time you wanna stop by the VA, make me look awesome in front of the girl at the front desk, just let me know."

"I'll keep it in mind," Steve said before turning to Lenna, "You coming?"

"Did you check to see if I was assigned?" Lenna asked, crossing her arms. Steve opened her mouth but she just rolled her eyes, "Bye Sam!"

The sleek black car that just pulled up rolled down its windows, revealing Natasha. "Hey fellas. Do either one of you know where the Smithsonian is? I'm here to pick up a fossil."

"That's hilarious," Steve said sarcastically.

"Am I coming?" Lenna asked, shoving her head in the car.

"I don't know did Steve check?" Nat said, angling her head in his direction.

Steve looked to the heavens and threw his hand up. "Why is it up to me?"

"I don't know captain, why is it?" Lenna jested before shoving her hand in his pocket. After unlocking his phone with her fingerprint she glanced at the alert. "Goddammit Fury."

"You coming?" Steve asked, from inside the car.

"Does it sound like I am?" Lenna snapped throwing his phone at him.

Sam glanced at Nat as Lenna backed away from the car. "How you doing?"

"Hey."

"She's out of your league," Lenna called out to him as she walked away.

"You're so pleasant!"

"Tell that to my nonexistent ass."
