Weak

LUCY POV

It's been 3 months since Lisanna Strauss has returned to Fairytail and everything is normal, but the one thing I feared the most came true; Natsu is completely attached to her. Lisanna is a great person, we've talked many times, but Natsu keeps getting in the way and drags her somewhere else. In those three months, I have only gone on like 3 missions with Team Natsu. During those missions, Natsu didn't even acknowledge my presence.

The person who was my best friend ended up leaving me all alone. He was the one person who I slowly developed a crush on, and he's out there having a blast, while I am in turmoil. Why couldn't the person that was the closest one to me, not see that I was hurting inside?

Trying not to let this frustration worry my friends, I would keep a fake smile on my face. This act was pretty convincing.

However, things changed when I went to the guild, after completing a solo mission near Hargeon. I had a glass fish for Happy in my hands to give him for his birthday. I tried to imagine his expression after receiving his gift when I heard a familiar laughter.

Natsu, your laughter would always make me smile even if I was super bummed out. Your eyes made my imagination take off.

As I opened the door to the guild, I heard, "Lucy? I don't like her, she's pretty weak. She always complains. Without her keys, she can't do much. I am always having to save her. At first, it was understandable, she was new to magic but she hasn't even changed at all. We trained our butts off and all she has to do is stand behind her spirits like a pathetic loser. I was planning on kicking her off Team Natsu, I mean everyone knows that she's weak."  Many members of the guild started to laugh. Wendy, Levy, Gajeel, the exceeds, and Juvia stood up, about to say something when their eyes landed on me.

As those words etched into my mind, I dropped the glass and the shattering noise echoed throughout the guild. Everyone went quiet and faced me. Tears started to drip down my face, and many gasped my sight. Natsu was the last to see me and didn't even have a glimpse of guilt in his eyes.

I ran out of the guild, crying and tears waterfalling down my face.

She's pretty weak! I don't like her!  She can't do much! Those words kept replaying in my head. Then many events of Natsu ignoring me kept popping in my head that I didn't even realize that I was already in my apartment.

Sensing my pain, Loke summoned himself in front of me. Seeing him, I cried even louder and he just hugged me and I hugged him back. I kept recalling just what had happened before me, and all the turmoil I had kept inside burst.

After, a few moments of crying and yelling, I stopped and Loke asked, "What happened Lucy?"

I told him everything, from how Natsu was ignoring me, my feelings for him, and what happened at the guild.

"Lucy, it's going to be alright," Loke tired to comfort me, "He doesn't know anything. You are Lucy Heartfillia, a wizard who has never given up."

"Thank you, Loke, thanks for everything. I just need some time alone."

"Okay, but don't hesitate to call me anytime."

After his golden light vanished, I got up and decided to go out for a quick walk. Some fresh air would help me clear out my thoughts. I grabbed a black jacket and walked out. The sun had set and the glossy stars had filled the sky.

After a long time of walking and thinking, I had made up my mind. I returned back to my apartment.

I summoned Loke and said, "Loke, I will prove to myself that I am not some incompetent wizard, who hides behind her Spirits. This time, I will get stronger. And for my feelings for Natsu, I need some space."
