LUCY POV

"Then why did you call me weak?! If you wanted to do something like this, why did you say something like that?! Is it because I am actually strong now and I am not hiding behind my sprits now!" At this point, I became unaware of my voice. Unaware of the tears flowing down my cheeks.

"That's not it. I know what I said was something that wasn't like me at all and it was the worst thing anyone could ever say. I know no matter what I do, I can't take back the words I said, but when you left, I realized who I had truly lost. I said this before and I'll say it as many times as you want me to, but I am deeply sorry. Luce, I realize that I hurt you and all of this isn't for you to forgive me; however, all of this is to show you that you mean a lot to me."

In that moment, the tears stopped. In that moment, his words came back to me. The look in his eyes was full of determination, but I could sense a fear in them. Fear of losing someone. Fear of losing me.

He was about to speak, but he fell quite when I pulled him into a hug. His hands reciprocated my actions. Silence filled the air while we both bathed in each other's company and warmth. Everything around me froze while I was with him. Being in his arms was soothing because I could feel his feelings for me.

While sustaining the hug, I said, "Natsu, I forgive you! I mean it. This is embarrassing to admit, but I never lost my feelings for you."

He pulled apart and stared into my eyes to confirm what I was saying.

"Natsu, I love you," I whispered, forgetting that he has insane hearing.

He closed the gap between us with a warm and gentle kiss, yet it was full of passion. I would be lying if I said that I didn't dream of this.

His lips left mine. Leaning his forehead on mine, he said, "I love you too. Never leave me again."

"I wouldn't dream of it. Wendy wouldn't like that at all," I joked.

Our ears were graced with each other's laughter. After we finished our desserts, we gazed into the scenery in front of us.

When a few minutes passed by, I lifted the silence and said, "We should head back now. Erza will kill us for staying here too late."

"I want to stay here with you longer."

I blushed at his words, but I would much rather avoid Erza's wrath. He saw my blush and smirked. He got up before me and held his hand out towards me. I held is hand and quickly got up.

"I don't want to walk all the way back to the inn, Natsu," I said.

"I can carry you," he replied.

This isn't a cliché romantic story where I would let him carry me.

"I have a better idea." I smiled and he looked at me confused.

"Star Glider," I cast and a golden star appeared below my feet. "
