The Clock Hits 12

Lucy POV

"Lu-Lucy, it's you," Sting finally said.

I looked in his direction, smiled and said, "Hey, Sting!" I was about to say something, but I was suddenly wrapped in a hug, by Sting.

Confused by this reaction, I stood there. After a solid 10 seconds, he let go of me. I looked at him and saw him slightly blushing. He must've realized that everyone was looking right at us.

"So-sorry, Lucy. It's just been so long since we saw each other again. Sorry," Sting said, all flustered.

"Uh, it's okay, Sting. And I am sorry I have to cut this reunion short. I promised my friend that we would meet them at the lodge before the games began," I replied.

"Games? Don't tell me you're in the grand magic games too."

"Yea, I am. Why?"

"Uh, that means we'll be enemies, right?"

"Yea, but let's catch up some other time after we win," I said as I started to walk away.

I stopped walking once he said, "You're wrong! Sabertooth has been the strongest guild, and we will not be defeated by weak little fairies. You all were, are, and will always be pathetic."

"What did you say," Natsu raged.

"Exactly, what you heard, Salamander," Sting retorted.

"Sting, DON'T underestimate us, you will regret it," I snapped, "Natsu, Erza is going to kill us, if we don't get there in time, let's get going." We made our way out of the crowd and continued walking to the lodge. From the corner of my eye, I could see Natsu was watching me the whole walk to the lodge.

Sting, I don't know what caused you to berate Fairytail like this, but I will make you change that mindset. You weren't like this when we first met. And why is Natsu staring at me? Whatever the case, it was good to see Sting, not on the best terms, but it was still good.

We finally got to the lodge. Like I had predicted, Erza scolded us, but Natsu kept talking about his encounter with Sting, and how Sting criticized Natsu and Fariytail. Elfman and Lisanna were with us unpacking our bags and unpacking drinks. All of this was going on when I realized that Wendy wasn't here.

Right on cue, Erza said, "Where are Wendy and Carla?"

"I saw them near the market area in the morning, but that's it," Happy answered.

"Erza, give me a minute. I think I can locate them with Star Seeker," I said.

"Please do."

I felt some of Wendy's magic, but it was very faint.

"This may sound absurd, but I think Wendy is unconscious in the Kingdom's Garden. Her magic is faint, it's like all of her magic was drained," I exclaimed.

"We need all of everyone here before 12, so we can't even go look for her," Gray said, checking the time, "Which is right now."

The time was exactly 12 when we hear the grand clock outside and we all rush to the balcony to face a hologram of a giant pumpkin-man?! HUH?!
