3rd Person POV

"From what Porlyusica said, she believes that both of them were attacked and their magic power was drained out of them," Lissana said.

The whole room fell quiet.

Breaking the silence, Happy said, "Master told you guys to rest and that tomorrow you can all go visit them."

"We should at least go see them," Natsu exclaimed.

"No! Master's right. Let's call it a day and get some sleep. We'll need all the energy we can get tomorrow," Erza said.

"But-," Natsu tried to argue, but Erza glared at him and he kept quiet.

"We should go to sle-," Gray said as his eyes landed on Lucy, who was on the floor soundly sleeping. "Well one down, I guess."

Everyone looked in the direction where Gray was looking. Lucy had already fallen asleep.

"She must be exhausted from that," Gray commented.

"She's gotten way stronger in no time. She learned some crazy spells. You should've seen her, Natsu. She wiped the floor with the thieves," Erza praised.

"Uhm," Natsu said, as he picked up Lucy and placed her on her bed.

"It sucks, you know? She doesn't trust us anymore. Yea she forgave us, but how could anyone forget what we did to her," Gray said.

No one said a word. Natsu kept staring at Lucy and walked to his bed. Gray, Erza and Elfman, got changed and went straight to bed. Lissana and Happy went to their rooms.

Everyone was in bed. Gray kept glancing at Lucy's bed and to the ceiling.

Gray slowly got up and walked over to Lucy's bed. He fell to her bed and said, "You really are something else. You came back to us, even though we, the people you trusted and loved so much, called you weak. I regret not stopping Natsu, but I was so caught up with Lissana coming back, I lost sight of you. And that makes me a horrible person. How could I forget you, Lucy?! But what makes it worse is the difference between you and me. You are better than what I could ever imagine being. After the way we made you feel, you still came back. That itself is a huge sign of your kind heart. You may never be able to forget what we said, and we may never be able to make things right, but I promise on life, that I will always protect you. You're a person I never want to lose again." Tears had rolled down his cheek and he kept apologizing.

After a good 15 minutes of regretting, Gray got up and went back to bed.

The group is falling asleep, while there are other guilds still trying to compete.

In the morning, everyone is at the preparation room, getting ready for the tournament.

Everyone has their clothes put one, but Elfman comes out of the fitting room with Wendy's clothes.

"How is a man like me supposed to fit in this?! This could be my sock," Elfman complained.

Team Fairytail burst out laughing.

After the laughter was situated, Erza said, "Just put something on so we can go visit them."

Elfman got ready and they all headed to the infirmary, where Wendy and Carla were kept. They entered the room to see Wendy hiding underneath the blankets. Carla was still asleep.

"I-I am sorry. I couldn't even be of any help to you guys," Wendy said between sniffs.

"Wendy, it's okay! We're happy you're okay. That's all that matters," Lucy comforted Wendy as she sat next to her.

"Who did this to you," Natsu asked, anger flooding his voice.

"I-I don't remember. I-it was too fast for me to see who it was," Wendy replied. "Mr. Elfman, please take my spot and make us win."

"Of course, I will. Now get some rest. Even a man needs his rest," Elfman said.

"I'll make sure she's okay and cured so she can participate in the games," Porlyusica said, "Now go you misfits, and go win this for Fairytail!"
