LUCY POV
The WHOLE crowd cheers for Erza's victory! She was taken to the clinic to get her wounds healed, but she soon joins us in the stands.
The judges, distraught on how to rank the other competitors, come up with the Magic Power Finder. It's a device that measures a wizard's magic power. The games continue and things get even more hyped when Cana casts her spell.
"FAIRY GLITTER," she cast on the device, breaking it and at the same time, getting the highest score of 9999, and the 8 points that come with second place. The whole crowd again starts to praise Fairytail.
The games soon move into the battle portions, Millianna defeating Semmes of Team Quatro Puppy, whilst Eve of Team Blue Pegasus is beaten by Rufus.
"Now it's the match between the two feuding families, Fairytail and Raventail. Laxus vs Alexei," Chapati Lola announced.
I'll have to keep an eye on them this match. Master said he already had a lookout, but I am not quite sure that'll be enough. I am getting a bad feeling about this one.
"Star Spectacles," I summoned and placed the golden pinkish pair of glasses on.
"What are you doing, Lucy," Natsu questioned.
"I have a bad feeling about this match, and I don't think that their motive of joining the games this year is to ridicule us. With these glasses, I'll be able to see any injuries and concentrated magic, like where the magic is coming from. I'll be able to see things closer and they look awesome," I replied.
Laxus and Alexei entered the arena. The battle starts...
"Looks like Alexei makes the first move and hits Laxus with a firm blow," Chapati yelled!
Wait! That isn't right. What's going on?! Both of them are just standing there.
I take off my glasses and find out that Chapati is telling the truth, but through my glasses, I am seeing something else.
"Lady Lucy, I believe the match that everyone else is seeing to be an illusion," Capricorn's voice said in my head.
"Ah, that makes more sense, so is there any way I can hear what they are saying, because it seems like they are just talking," I inquired.
"Put the glasses back on and zoom closer through the glasses and the voice will start to be clearer to you."
"Thanks!"
I did as Capricorn said and I was able to witness through the illusion.
Alexei starts to unmask himself to be Ivan Dreyar, the master of the guild and his guild stands behind him.
With the whole guild?! Isn't that cheating?! I want to help, but I can't intervene.
My worries are soon dissolved when Laxus looks indifferent about the whole thing.
"Laxus, where is the Lumen Histoire," Ivan asks.
"What the hell are you babbling about," Laxus replies ignorantly. "Even if I knew, I wouldn't tell you anything!"
Limen Histoire? What's that?! Why is Ivan trying to get his hands on it? If he's asking Laxus about it, it's safe to assume that the master knows about it. I'll have to ask him that later.
Soon the whole guild attacks Laxus. Laxus easily takes down all of them. With a final word with Ivan, Laxus blasts Ivan and the illusion breaks. The whole crowd is completely confused about what just happened.
The judges soon tell the crowd it was just an illusion and that we were all witnessing a fake fight. The illusion mist dissipates, and everyone gasps at the battlefield. Laxus is standing tall and unexhausted while the whole Raventail guild is on the ground. We all cheer at Laxus's victory, and as Laxus walks off the field, Ivan admits his defeat but warns Laxus about Lumen Histoire, the dark side of Fairy Tail, which doesn't avoid my ears.
Team Raven Tail is taken into custody, and the audience is told that the guild has been disqualified with Raven Tail's 'participation rights' having been revoked for the next 3 years.
The next match is announced, to be between Wendy and Sherria Blendy from Team Lamia Scale.
Wendy has worked hard, and I know she'll come out on top! After all, she did learn Sky Drill at such a young age. She'll be able to hold her own.
The match starts, and I get to witness Shellia's magic, Sky God Slayer. Soon the battle goes to no avail because both of them hold their own. The time runs out and the match ends in a tie, giving both teams five points.
"That was the cutest fight I ever saw," Chapati fan-girls.
"Could you stop and announce the current standings," Yajima complained.
"Oh, yea, that's my job. In 7th place we have Quatro Puppies with 14 points, 6th place we have Blue Pegasus with 18 points, 5th place we have Lamia Scale with 30 points, 4th place we have Fairytail B with 31 points, 3rd place we have Mermaid Heel with 32 points, 2nd place we have Sabertooth, and in first place we have... Fairytail Team A with 37 points," Chapati announced.
The crowd went wild and started chanting Fairytail's name!
Everyone was leaving the stands but Natsu. He kept staring at the arena. I didn't put too much thought about and went to leave too. Right when I was about to leave, Natsu grabbed my hand and turned me around.
He held me tightly, but I didn't feel any pain. He looked into my eyes and I couldn't help but mirror his gaze.
His eyes are gentle and warm. They still entrap me in a never-ending loop. I could stare at them for hours an eternity. It was these eyes that I fell for. It was all of him that I fell for. Natsu, you don't understand how hard it was for me to hear you call me weak. You didn't know the effect you caused on me when you were around. The feelings are coming back, but I don't think they were ever gone, to begin with.
"What do you say, Lucy," Natsu asked?
Shoot! I was too distracted by his eyes to notice what he was saying...
"Uh, sure."
"Yes! I'll see you at 7 near the bar!"
What did I just agree to?
