Lucy POV
Suddenly, I heard Aquarius's voice in my head. "Shut the hell up, brat! Why should they feel disappointed at you?! They are the ones that made you feel like trash. They ignored you! They made you leave, even after all that crap about family. And I am sure they care you left, who else would they have that could show off her body as you do?"
"You know I thought we were having a moment there, but you just ruined it with that last comment. Still, you're right! Thanks, Aquarius," I reported back to her.
We approached the guild building and I was shocked at its condition even though Erza described it to me. It took a form of a small tavern, with its walls being mainly composed of bricks, bearing visible cracks here and there and having some of its parts covered by vines. It looked like a rundown barn and tavern.
Everyone else went in and Gray kept the door open for me. just from the open door, I could hear people screaming and fighting and just the joyous environment I missed.
"Everyone, look here," Erza's voice bombarded, and everyone fell quiet.
Gray signaled me to walk in, but I was very hesitant.
As I entered through the door, everyone's jaw dropped. I couldn't tell what they were thinking. I was about to say something, but everyone rushed towards me, crying, "Lucy, we're sorry. Welcome back!" In a matter of seconds, everyone was all over me, and I felt like I was being crushed. I have made my choice!
"That's enough. Let her breathe," screamed the master, picking me up with his giant hand, "I need to talk to her in my office. Give us a few minutes please."
When the door to his office closed, he literally jumped me. Hugging me with his small hands, he started to cry, "Lucy, are you okay? Why didn't you tell me yourself that you were leaving? I was worried sick about you, my child!"
I let him cry for a while and when he was alright, I said, "I am sorry, master. But I just couldn't face the guild after what happened. I am sure Loke told you everything."
"Yes, and I am dearly sorry for what we did to you. You're family and we shouldn't have let Natsu say what he said."
"Well, keeping that aside, I honestly wasn't going to join Fairytail, but I have decided to give it a shot. Once more," I said and his face lit up.
He quickly took me outside, where everyone was anxiously waiting, and he screamed, "Brats, listen up! Lucy has decided to come back to Fairytail! Now to return her to our family lets party!!!"
"YEA!!!!!!!!"
"Let's GO!!!!"
"Lucy's back Guys!!!!"
Everyone got riled up, but I sat at a table with Wendy, Carla, Juvia, Gajeal, Gray, Erza, and Happy. We were just talking and having a great time. Then Levy walked up to me and said with complete guilt in her eyes, "Lu, I am sorry for what happened that day. I should've stopped Natsu from saying what he did. I should've stopped you, and I should've noticed that we were ignoring you. Forget best-friend, I don't even deserve to be called your friend."
"Levy, don't say that! It's fine I forgive you. Look, I am back, aren't I? Look, to show you that I forgive you, why don't I give you a finished copy of my book."
Many people came by the table to catch up, apologize, make amends and everything, but no one mentioned Natsu, except for when people were referencing to how they should've stopped him. Even Lisana didn't mention him. She was the one who apologized the most. She thought that I thought it was her fault for what happened.
Throughout the whole party, Gray was still staring at me. Then he spoke, "It's been bugging me for a while. Why haven't you asked about Natsu?"
The whole table's eyes went on him, and I realized that I was wrong. He didn't have a concerned look on his face, he just wanted to see if I ever had a hint of curiosity of Natsu.
