Naval Battle

Lucy's POV:

Natsu and I spent most of the night star gliding and watching the beautiful city below us. Hand in hand, both of us were happy. We found a medium and we were both enjoying each other's company.

Finally! I wanted to feel this for such a long time, and I couldn't have asked for a better moment.

We arrived at the inn and to our surprise, Erza wasn't awake. Natsu says good night to me and goes to bed, while I go to the bathroom to change. When I enter the bathroom, I quietly summon Crux. "Crux, can you do me a favor and look for any information you have on Minerva Orland of Sabertooth? I need to know all of the information you have on her before tomorrow morning?" Crux said, "Y...ye...yes. I can." He simply nodded and went back to the spirit world.

I need to know more about her if I want to win this game.

"Let's start things off with some water! For today's event, the challenge is the Naval Battle," Chapati announces.

Finally! I can fight again!

We are all placed in a large, aquatic dome-like sphere inside the arena.

Chapati says, "a participant automatically loses when they leave the sphere and the last person remaining will be the winner unless there are still two people left during which a five-minute time limit will be given so that both can compete for victory. When this exception occurs, the loser of the match will be awarded the least points. Our guest for today is Rabian!"

I am in the water arena and look at my competitors, Sherria, Jenny, Risley, Juvia, Minerva, and Rocker. I know exactly what I need to do to win this.

Yajima says, "Today's battle will be very interesting!"

Ranian squeals, "Oh how much the audience loves this view!"

"Without further ado, let's begin," Chapati screams as the commencing bell is rung.

Minerva keeps staring at me. Well, this is weird. Hopefully, she doesn't try anything. I'll need to be aware of her.

"I'll start things off," Jenny says and hits Rocker out of the bubble, "Sorry! No men allowed!"

The audience gets more excited! "That was quick! It's good they got rid of him," Ranian says.

"Open, gate of the Water Bearer: Aquarius," I cast and my blue-haired friend greets my eyes!

"This is my domain, you bimbos," Aquarius screams and casts Water Torrent. Aquarius absorbs water inside her urn and then hurls it at everyone with tremendous force.

I see Juvia cast Water Cyclone to defend against Aquarius's attack, while the other girls get swamped with the Water Torrent. Minerva, on the other hand, uses her magic to make my attack go around her.

Thanks to Crux's information, her magic is called territory. Her Magic revolves around the manipulation of space, which allows her to manipulate any spatial region within her line of sight. There might be a way for me to defeat her, but I don't think I want to reveal it right away.

'Aquarius, I'll need some of your power for this one!'

'FINE! But make it quick! I have a date with Scorpio.'

'Speaking of which, I'll be using his magic too. Can you keep Juvia busy?'

'Hurry up!'

"Celestial fusion, Aquarius and Scorpio." I felt the magic of both of my spirits surge through me.

"My time is up, Bimbos! Have fun," Aquarius said and disappeared.

"Sand Sanctuary," I cast as a stream of sand mixes with the water.

"Sand!? What is Lucy Heartfilia thinking," Chapati questions?

"Ah, I see! She made the water heavier with the addition of sand. Now her opponents won't be able to move as fast or even see clearly," Yajima clarifies.

Because of Scorpio's magic and Aquarius's magic, my speed and sight aren't affected.

I make my way to the middle of the sphere and notice that Minerva is playing along with this trick of mine.

"Draining Bubble," I cast, and a Water Bubble forms with the water in the sphere. Suddenly all the water outside the bubble gets absorbed in my bubble, making all the girls in the original water sphere falling to the ground.

Everyone in the audience falls quiet. Everyone is shocked at the outcome. The only person in the "sphere" is me, while everyone else is on the ground.

"What just happened," Ranian questions?

"It looks like Lucy was able to kick everyone out of the water with one spell," Chapati answers completely unsure of what happened. Everyone starts to cheer and call out Fairytail's name!

Yajima explains, "Lucy must've used her spirit's magic to form her own bubble in the water and drain all the water from the sphere, making everyone that was in the sphere no longer there."

Dang! Yajima really knows his stuff!

"Seeing that got kicked out of the water at the same time, we're going to have to give everyone else a different way of testing their strength. For now, the winner of the Naval Battle is Lucy Heartfillia of Fairy Tail Team A," Chapati announces.

The whole crowd goes wild!
