Arya.
Daniel's cabin was incredible to say the least. I felt like I was inside a five star hotel, all I could wonder was where he got all this money. Though it would probably be rude to ask. The entire first floor was open except for a staircase in the middle separating the kitchen from the giant living room. The kitchen was definitely my favorite room. It had high ceilings covered in skylights and a huge island in the middle.
Daniel and I had finished my tour of the house and made our way back to the kitchen. I sat down at the island admiring the beautiful dark grey stone countertops.
"Daniel this house is amazing." I beamed.
"Thanks. You hungry?" Daniel asked opening the fridge, I was starving.
"Yeah. Are you?"
"Fuck yes. I'm not a good cook but uhmmm, I can make ramen noodles or maybe mac n'cheese." He chuckled looking to me hopefully.
"I can cook you something if you'd like." I smile standing up from my seat at the island I walked over him.
"Really? Are you a good cook?"
"Hell yeah I've been cooking since I was tall enough to reach the oven." I laughed and began pulling various items out of the fridge.
"How can I help?" Daniel asked with the cutest grin on his face.
"Grab me a big pot please? Put a little water in it." I decided to make chili since they had all the fixings for it. Daniel placed the pot on the stove for me. The entire time I prepared the food he stood next to me watching my every move.
"Do you cook for your brother?" He asked out of the blue. The thought of Connor sent a chill down my spine. I still had to go home at some point and face him.
"Breakfast, lunch, dinner and any other meal demanded." I sighed thinking back to countless times I cooked a meal Connor didn't like and he would freak out. One time he threw a frying pan at my face knocked me out cold for about a day and he just left me there on the kitchen floor. When I came to I still had to clean up the old rotten food from the dinner table then cook a better meal. I was pulled out of my thoughts when I felt Daniels arms wrap around my waist he rested his head on my shoulder.
"What are you thinking about?" He questioned softly. I closed my eyes pushing away the painful memories I shook my head.
"Nothing you'd want to know about." I whispered stirring my chili which was almost done. I turned down the heat a little and covered the pot to let it dinner for a while. Daniels grip tightened on my waist as he chuckled shaking his head slightly.
"You couldn't be more wrong. I want to know everything about you Arya. I don't know why but since I first saw you I've just been fascinated by you. I need to know who you are. I want to know what you love, what you fear, everything, anything. Just please trust me." The sound of his voice whispering in my ear made my legs feel like jello. I couldn't even come up with a response I just stood there like an idiot.
"I-I-" before I could answer him the front door burst open. Jeremy and Peter came in looking exhausted and dirty.
"What is that amazing fucking smell." Jeremy asked kicking his boots off at the door he walked over to the fridge and pulled out a beer chugging half of it in once sip.
"Arya's cooking chili." Dan grinned his arms never leaving my waist.
"Are you serious Dan? How the hell did your loser ass manage to grab cute girl who can cook?" Peter laughed walking towards us, Jeremy tossed him a beer and he caught it with ease.
