Northern Canada- Yukon Territory
Arya.
Canada was absolutely beautiful in the summertime. Lush green forests coated the land, massive pines towering in the clouds. Large snow capped mountains lined the horizon everywhere you turned. Just cruising through the forest with the top down and my feet up was incredible. Even the air just felt fresher, I had never felt so at peace in my entire life.
It was now mid afternoon, Daniel and I had left the motel hours ago and now sat parked at a scenic viewing area off the highway eating some fast food we had grabbed for lunch before we left town. I still had no idea where our final destination was, or where exactly in Canada we were. The curiosity and anxiety was beginning to eat away at me, where were we going? Would I be safe? Where were Jeremy and Peter? After several minutes of silence, I couldn’t bear to hold it in any longer; I decided to open my mouth.
“So what’s the plan?” I asked Daniel while stealing one of his fries. Daniel was quiet for a minute before he smiled and looked at me.
“What you don’t trust me?” he asked playfully, I laughed a little rolling my eyes.
“No, it’s not that I don’t trust you. I do trust you; I just don’t like being kept in the dark.” I spoke looking out at the breathtaking mountains in front of us. Again Daniel waited a moment before answering.
“There’s this lovely cabin in Alaska, right near the water. Completely secluded, no one’s around for miles. That’s where we’re going; Jeremy and Peter are going to meet us there.” Well that answered two questions.
“What if my brother and Mason find us?” I asked softly, just the thought of it happening made my stomach turn.
“I’ll know they’re coming three days before they even get into Alaska and we’ll be in Mexico by then.” Daniel chuckled.
“Mexico?” I asked looking at him.
“Or Fiji? Where would you wanna go? If you could go anywhere in the world.” Daniel asked me while lighting up a blunt. I thought about it for a minute before responding.
“Greece. Santorini, Greece.” I said with a smile, thinking about the crystal blue oceans.
“Greece huh?” Daniel paused for a minute, “Yeah I could live there, get a tan, and grow some olives. Soil out there is nice for weed too.” He grinned, passing the blunt to me. Placing the blunt between my lips I inhaled as much smoke as I could, closing my eyes. I sat there for a moment suspended in bliss before slowly exhaling a large silky white cloud. I opened my eyes to see Daniel staring at me intensely his eyes slowly turning black.
“Uhm…are you okay?” I asked a little concerned, why did this keep happening.
“You’re just so…” Daniel couldn’t even respond. He simply reached up to cup my face with both hands pulling me towards him capturing my lips in his. It took me a few seconds to register what was happening before I started to kiss back. Swiping his tongue along my lower lip, he gently bit it demanding entrance. I parted my lips slightly allowing him to explore my mouth. He groaned entangling one hand in my hair, sliding his other hand behind my neck pulling me closer, deepening the kiss. After a few minutes he pulled back his eyes slowly turning back to their normal color.
“Be my girlfriend, I mean I know that sounds really cheesy, cause we’re werewolves. But just…” He paused for a minute, looking for the right words to say. “Arya just be mine please.”
