Grey Winds Pack Territory: The Northern Forest.

The Northern Forest was a wasteland, a vast uninhabitable swamp that no pack wanted in their lands. So it was graciously given Alpha Mason as a welcoming gift when he came into power. The ultimate fuck you. The land was huge but covered in swamp lands and thickly settled trees, no one had ever taken the time to actually survey the whole forest, a task like that would take days, maybe weeks.Unfortunately for them, Daniel had surveyed and mapped the entire swamp, he had sen Peter and Jeremy out into the swamps to place their scents everywhere causing the pack to spend hours searching for them in one big circle. Mason, who was still several steps behind Daniel, had every able bodied male in the pack scouring the forest searching for any sign of Arya and the rouges. A thick fog blanketed the forest floor making it difficult to see, everyone navigated by smell and sound. Mason and Connor were ruthless, allowing no one to stop until they found a some kind of a trail leading to where they went, or at least  find their cabin that was supposed to be somewhere in  this forest. Little did he know they were about 200 miles east of where Mason and his men were searching. The twenty four hour mark was minutes away and the pack had begun to grow restless, the search was going no where.

"Alpha please, it's been almost twenty four hours and we haven't found anything." Sean groaned through the mind link, they had been searching the Northern Forest for hours. The faint trail or Arya's scent was long gone. Covered by the overbearing smell of swamp muck and pine, Daniel and his two friends. Every now and then the boys would catch a bit of her sweet lilac scent, but there was no trail. It seemed to pop up in random spots. Mason and Connor were beginning to lose all patience.

"No we can't stop, there has to be some sign of where they went!" Mason's rough voice snarled in their heads.

"This is fucking stupid, can't we just be glad the little bitch is gone?" Another guard growled, Connor and Mason snapped their heads around to look at the boy who spoke up.

"Don't fucking talk about her like that!" Mason snarled barring his razor sharp canines. The boy backed down immediately tucking his tail between his legs he lowered his body to the ground.

"I'm sorry Alpha."

"Enough of this we're wasting time! We're going to split up into small groups and spread out in every direction. I want every inch of this forest scrutinized, Mason and I will head north to the borderlands the rest of you span out East, West and South. If you find anything you link me or Mason immediately! Now go!" Connor demanded, the pack quickly disappeared into the woods. Connor turned to Mason his eyes filled with frustration and concern.

"This isn't good." Mason muttered quietly through a private link as the continued to walk through the swamp.

"I know. They're long gone I can sense it. They left our territory hours ago. But I can't even tell you which direction they went. It's liked their scent goes in every direction. They planned this. These rouges are more intelligent than we anticipated."

Connor was furious he had let his sister slip away right under his nose. He needed her, she wasn't supposed to ever get away. Mason was sick to his stomach with not only worry but jealousy. Another wolf, a rouge no less, had taken what rightfully belonged to him. Despite rejecting her, Mason's wolf still pined for his true mate. The mere thought of her being in another man's presence made his body shake with fury.

Since her disappearance the day before, Mason realized how difficult it would be to actually reject Arya and stay away from her. His whole being ached for his mate, Mason had even begun to entertain the idea of keeping Arya locked away in his room forever. Then publicly mate a more acceptable she wolf. He could keep Arya for breeding the perfect Alpha heirs with his true mate.
