(Y'all I finally finished this chapter that I've been working on for like... ever. I really hope you enjoy!)

Bill stares down at you with squinted eyes. You can tell he is trying to fish around your head for answers. You immediately try to think of something else, something random. He began to open his mouth before you blurted out, your question exploding from your mind and out your mouth in desperation. "Why do you care so much about all this!?" You expected him to be shocked by your sudden outburst but he didn't budge. That is until he pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed.

"You do realize that I do everything for a reason. (Y/N)... You are playing with fire. And you WILL get burned unless you end this insanity and give me the box. The sooner the better." He holds out a hand.

You look down slightly ashamed. "I...don't have it..."

Bill stared coldly "What do you mean you don't have it?"

You stood in a proud stance with your arms crossed and eyes shut realizing that the area you buried the box in seemed to be blocked from Bills radius. "Somewhere you will never find it." You immediately regretted saying that as you opened one eye to see a bright red and fuming Bill. Your posture shrank as you took a step back.

"...(Y/N)... You have no idea what you are doing. You are taking me to where you hid it RIGHT THIS INSTANT or you will be VERY. SORRY!" His hands were in fists, and you could see deep down this wasn't pure rage. There was fear hidden deep behind his eyes. You calmly took his hand and looked him in his now red eyes.

"What are you so afraid of...?" Bill was taken aback. He sharply inhaled and his breath hitched. He let go of your hand and looked down in defeat.

"Please.... I-I can't tell you... I made a deal... I can never break a deal... just trust me (y/n). I'm just trying to protect you."

"From what? What is so bad about the music box that you would threaten me for? That you are so pent up on retrieving?"

"I told you... I can't say... He will-" He cut himself off and threw his hands over his mouth. You squinted.

"He? Who's he? Bill what are you hiding?" Bill kept his hands in place and simply shook his head before snapping his fingers and disappearing from view. This worried you... a lot.

After Bill had "escaped" from the odd conversation, you knew that you had to talk to someone who knew more about Bill. Of course that meant talking to Ford, not Dipper. Although it seemed like Bill had talked to Dipper about what you were doing, not Ford. You guessed a good place to start would be Ford, but it was getting late so you went to bed instead.

________________________________________________

You woke up bright and early the next morning in hopes to talk to Ford before anyone else woke up and before Bill came back. You caught him in the corner of your eye heading down to his lab. The last place you wanted to be was down there, but you felt you had no choice. He stopped the vending machine from closing behind him and stopped at the stairs. You took a deep breath and as Ford reached the middle of the staircase you spoke up.

"Hey... Ford? Can I ask you something... about Bill?" Ford froze in place before looking over his shoulder and cautiously looking around before motioning for you to follow him down the stairs. You did as he asked and when you both made it to the bottom, he looked behind you as if making sure you weren't followed.

"Alright. What's your question?" He seemed perplexed and curious about what you may say. You hesitated trying to decide the best choice of words.

"Well... Have you ever seen Bill scared?..." your voice trailed of slightly and Ford seemed confused by the question.

"Scared? Why would he be scared? He is the most feared and powerful demon across hundreds of dimensions. What could he possibly be afraid of?" He looked at you sternly. "Why? Did you see him scared at some point? When? Why? How did he portray his fear? Did he tell you?" Ford's voice sped up the more questions he asked and he began to get almost excited as he grabbed a pen and paper.

You interrupted his never ending line of questions. What you were about to say could end up ruining everything. Including your relationship with Dipper. "No... well. I don't know. Dipper told me Bill was afraid of something..." You weren't sure if you could trust Ford completely and tell him about the music box or your medallion. Especially after some of the events in the past. "And... I don't know. He got angry at me for something I did and behind his cold and angry stare, it was like he was pleading. But not to me... to himself? I-I don't know."

Ford looked at you sympathetically. He could feel the confusion radiating off of you. He placed a hand on your shoulder before you could say anymore. You looked up to see him smiling. "Hey. Slow down, I'm sure it isn't a big deal. Maybe he was just afraid of losing someone he cared about." You looked at Ford confused until he spoke up again. "It's obvious he has a connection to you. Have you not caught on? I myself am surprised since Demons usually can't feel." You huffed.

"Ford... that's besides the point..."

"I'm right though. Am I not?" He looked at you smugly before turning towards a desk of various papers. You grumbled and turned to go up the stairs but froze when his voice suddenly cut through the silence. "and (y/n), I'd keep that medallion around your neck locked up if I were you."

You had completely forgotten that it was still around your neck from the night before. You looked over your shoulder and opened your mouth to speak but nothing came out as Ford worked with his back towards you. You gulped and headed back up the stairs to find and talk to Dipper. Maybe he could help? Or maybe...

You fiddled with the medallion in your hand, thinking of the entity through the portal. Maybe he could provide some answers. He seemed like he knew quite a bit, maybe he knew even more than Bill...

As you thought deeply and turned a corner, you ran right into a groggy Dipper. It seemed you were running into a lot of people lately. Dipper squinted and saw your worried expression. "Hey? (y/n)? You alright?" You shrugged in response, unable to form any words from your scrambled questions and frantic thoughts. Dipper just chuckled and walked past you, "Seems to me that you need to start getting more sleep." You grabbed his wrist and he turned around surprised.

"(y/n)?" He looked beyond worried at this point as you looked down with hair covering your face.

"Am.... Am I in danger?" Dipper looked confused about the question.

"I-I don't think you are. And even if you were, we are all here to protect you. Even Bill. Is...Is everything alright (y/n)? You're worrying me." You let go of his wrist and looked him in the eyes.

"I'm fine... thanks Dip. I'll... be right back." You turned away and Dipper whispered a worried 'okay' as you turn and leave the shack, heading towards (c/n)'s gravestone. It had been a while since you had payed them a visit, and by god you needed a distraction from your own thoughts.
