Sitting in my car I watched as random people walked by. I was so tired. I didn't get much sleep last night due to David walking around upstairs. What used to scare me now was just annoying. It's been a week since Tony died, a week since David revealed himself to me. Since then he's been a ghost but mainly keeping to himself upstairs. I had so many questions.I shook my thoughts away and looked at the time. "7:58"
"Time to shine." I whispered as I quickly checked myself out in the mirror before heading in.I pulled open the glass door. Empty tables surrounding me, other waitresses stood watching me as I strutted by. Probably waiting to clock in.
Once I had entered the back I watched as the cooks started the machinery, getting things running for the day. I smiled at them as I walked to the back office.Jesse's face lit up when he saw me. "There she is!" He jumped up and pulled me into his gut for a hug.
I pinched my lips together. That's a little weird...
He seemed like a nice guy, friendly. He was in his late forty's and had a beer belly, brown hair and a bald spot on the back of his head."Right on time." He smiled as another woman walked in. She was pretty. Skinny, long red hair with bright green eyes. "Alexandra, This is Kendra. Kendra, this is Alexandra you are going to be working with her today, she's going to show you the ropes."
"Right." She cleared her throat and walked out grabbing a menu. "First things first, you need to memorize the menu." She handed it to me and I opened it up scanning each page trying not to fall over anything, yet keep up to her.
After we clocked in, we already had a few costumers. I watched as Alexandra was polite and professional. One of the costumers didn't know what they wanted and she suggested a few things for him to try. All morning it was busy and I tried hard to keep up with Alex, but I managed.
Once the clock struck "2:00" I clocked out, I walked into the dining room to see a familiar face."Kendra." Ryan walked over. "I didn't know you worked here?"He looked as perfect as he did yesterday, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans.
Don't blush Kendra, don't blush!
"I just started, I'm in training." I breathed out, tired.
"Well I bet you'll be the best waitress yet." He grinned. "Do you like my uncle?""Wh.. Who's that?"
"Jesse." He Continued.
Ohhh. Jesse.
Honestly I wasn't sure what I thought of him, he was a nice guy just very friendly."He's nice. Very friendly." I smiled with a giggle. Trying desperately to keep my palms from sweating again.
"Yeah. That's him alright." He searched my eyes for a moment before Alexandra grabbed my arm forcing my attention onto her.
"You did great today." She handed me another menu. "Take it home, study it."I nodded my head and turned my gaze back to Ryan. He seemed amused.
"See. I'll told you, you're already becoming the best waitress."Suddenly a fat grumpy guy walked by us into the bathroom, passing gas before entering. Everyone around us noticed and wrinkled their noses in disgust, he didn't care.
I looked at Ryan for a second, a smile tugging at my lips. I tried so hard to push it back but it wouldn't let me. He suddenly erupted with laughter causing me to as well. He bent over clutching his stomach, and I leaned on the wall to support me.
I watched him for a moment, trying to stop laughing. He was adorable and I was really starting to like him.

The wind picked up as I got out of my mustang, and walked up to the door, once I went to grab the knob, it opened up on it's own revealing David. He had on a white shirt with jeans, his bright blue eyes glued on mine.
He was human again. He opened the door for me, was he waiting me to return?
"Welcome home my love."Oh my god, for the last time I'm not Clara!
I rolled my eyes and walked past him into the living room with him on my heels."I see you are wearing your wedding ring." He sat next to me on the couch.
Ugh!I turned to him with a fake smile on my face. "How long will you be human this time?"
"Today's the first day of my two weeks." He leaned back on the couch, clutching his black hair in frustration. "Now that you're here, I want to stay human."
He looked so sad. He really misses his Clara. I wish I had love like that. Wow.
I didn't know what to do, should I just let him stay here? That would be weird. Then again, he's been here this entire time just as a.. Ghost.
I watched as his eyes glistened with tears and his voice started to crack. "I've missed you so much. Do you realize how long I have waited for you? All the bad things we've been through, they don't even matter." He started to shake as the tears streamed down his face. "I love you."
I felt bad for the guy, he was suffering.
The rest of the night I studied the menu, while David wrote in his old dusty journal. It really was about time he got a new one, it was literally falling apart on his lap.

I watched as the stars lit up the night sky, shining down on me. It was a beautiful night, no wind at all. I sat on the steps waiting for David to return, he's been out all night. I looked down at my red gown, and wrapped my black shawl tighter around me. It was getting chilly and worry was starting to take me.
"Where could he be?" A tear dropped off of my eyelashes and landed on the steps. "I hope he's okay."
Earlier our dog got taken and David tracked down the man to get him back. He should have been back by now. Our dog was special, he was part wolf, all black with blue eyes. We named him Ash.
This wasn't the first time someone tried to steal him, and I doubt it will be the last. I grabbed the railing to help me stand up when I heard the sound of horses in the distance. My heart jumped in my chest as a smile stretched across my face.
David!
After a few moments, David got out of the carriage and went to help our helper with the horses. I walked inside and closed the door, candles were lit everywhere on the first floor. I easily made my way to the kitchen to heat up something for David to eat.
"Clara." My eyes snapped to David. He wasn't himself, he seemed off. Something was wrong.
But what?
"Did you find Ash?"
He shook his head 'yes.'
"I killed the man who took him, he put up a fight and I just killed him." David sat down, his breath smelled of rum. He's been drinking. "How many times do I have to tell you, stop killing people. You're going to end up in jail David!" I was yelling, and I didn't want to stop.
David never listened to me. He had a bad reputation, It was going to end up destroying our marriage and we've only been married for two years!
I slammed my hands on the counter. My cheeks burning with anger. "When will it end!"
He just looked at me as if he was about to pass out. His eyelid started to get heavy but I wasn't about to give up. I slammed my hands on the counter again making him jump. "When?" I yelled. He knitted his eyebrows together and stood up and turned on his heels.
"Don't you walk away from me David!" I ordered grabbing his arm. He slapped me hard sending me flying backwards, my head hitting against the counter top. I felt as my spirit lifted out of my body, it felt so weird.I stood there looking down at David, sobbing over me. I bent down to try and comfort him but I slowly disappeared.
I jolted awake screaming, breathing heavily, sweating. Looking around I realized I was in my room under the covers. I bit my lip and my body trembled.
"I remembered that." I breathed out. "I really was Clara."
