Taehyung POV
"Just stay chill."
That was the advice Jimin had given him, and Taehyung complied.
Nothing major had happened and two weeks had passed since the Jungkook Incident, relieving the worried boy. Maybe Jungkook had let it slip and didn't want to meddle with Taehyung's personal affairs and life?
Him and Jimin visited each other frequently, just like they usually did. Taehyung continued to get his beatings, new and old bruises always decorating his skin.
Jimin's parents continued to fight and their youngest son still fell asleep every night to the sound of their yells and things breaking.
It was their usual. And neither of them minded, because, in the end, they had each other.
"- Taehyung are you listening?" The teacher, Miss Hansen, said, her voice monotone.
The boy snapped from his daze and looked up to meet his teacher's bored eyes. He fiddled with his pencil and felt his ears turning a light shade of pink at the feeling of his classmates' eyes on him.
He heard a few snickers and chuckles from the kids around him, and he bit on his lip harshly.
"Sor- sorry, Miss." Taehyung shook his head and stuttered as he apologized, his eyes fixed on his desk as his face flared pink with embarrassment.
"It's fine. Now back to- Jared I swear if I catch you looking at porn during my class one more time, I'm going to personally buy you a bible and make you read that instead of your work sheets."
Like that, class continued and Taehyung relaxed once more, now partially paying attention to the teacher.
He felt someone poke his arm and he looked beside him towards his desk mate and best friend, Jimin.
The orange haired boy clutched piece of ripped paper in his small hand, gesturing for Taehyung to take it.
Rolling his eyes, he quickly took the note and ducking his head down, placing the piece of paper on the desk and bringing his pencil to the paper beneath it, pretending to be writing down notes as his hand hid the note Jimin had just passed him.
'Looks like someone's watching you.'
Taehyung looked up and made eye contact with his best friend. Jimin just nodded to prove his point.
Taehyung looked around, glancing swiftly over the fellow students until he made eye contact with to chocolate brown doe eyes.
The both of them jumped. One having the realization of who was staring at him. And the other being surprised at being caught staring.
They both quickly looked back towards their work. Taehyung blushed madly and he didn't know why. He felt embarrassed at the thought of being watched and the sudden eye contact. Especially since it was the boy, Jeon Jungkook, who had been watching him intently.
After five minutes or quickly writing down notes and trying to calm down and actually listen to whatever the teacher was talking about, Taehyung glanced over his shoulder.
Behind him, a few desks away, Jungkook sat with his bottom lip between his teeth as he quickly jotted down notes before leaning over towards his friends that sat all around them and whispered something, making all of them laugh quietly before going back to their work.
When Jungkook leaned back towards his desk and work, he found Taehyung's eyes on him and the boys made eye contact for the second time that class.
