Leon was sitting next to Kevin, listening as Jughead spoke about Archie being a hero. He apparently saved Cheryl's life only one day prior.
"Wait, wait, wait. What happened to Cheryl?" Leon asked interrupting Jughead. "Cheryl took Jason's death hard, she tried to kill herself" Kevin explained.
Veronica looked at Kevin confused, before turning to the unfamiliar Leon, who she had yet to meet. "I'm sorry, but who are you?" "The name is Leon Walker, the best Gay in the Village" Leon replied, a small smirk on his face.
"And why are you here?" Veronica asked causing the boy to roll his eyes. "Wow, I've been back barely five minutes and I've already had the displeasure of meeting the infamous, yet irritating Veronica Lodge."
"Veronica, this is Leon Walker. He was friends with Jason, and he's Rosalie's best friend" Betty informed her.
Veronica knew the name, it sounded familiar. It took her a moment to realise why. "You saved her from Mickey,. alongside Jason."
Leon never got the chance to reply with the sarcastic remark he desperately wanted to say. Alice, Hal and Hermione went over to the kids. "Your father's in surgery. He's going to be in there a while" Alice informed Archie.
Hermione crouched down in front of the red haired boy. "Archie, have you spoke to your mother about any of this yet?" "No, I haven't called her. I'll be right back."
Once Archie was out of sight Alice looked at Jughead and sighed. "What?" the boy questioned. Betty noticed the look her mother was giving her boyfriend. "Mom, don't start."
"I can't help but wonder if your Southside Associates had anything to do with what happened. It would explain why the Wilde girl is fine. She's always with them" Alice said.
Jughead scoffed while Leon chuckled. "If it was a Serpent and they truly cared for her, as they do, she wouldn't be in here. Nice try though." "At least you can't accuse my father of being the shooter, considering how he's in prison" Jughead replied. He was grateful Leon stood up for the Serpents, though he knew it was only due to Rosalie's friendship with them.
"What's wrong with this fucked up town? Why are the people even more fucked up?" Leon questioned rhetorically before he stood up and went to the receptionist. Kevin followed behind him, not wanting to leave the boy alone.
"Hi, I'm the cousin of Rosalie Wilde. She was brought in after the robbery at Pop's Diner. How is she doing?" Leon asked, his voice soft, showing his concern.
The receptionist typed on her computer, while Leon waited, trying his best to be patient. He had never been patient, it was a quality he didn't possess. "She's fine, minor bruising to the head, small cut from the fall, slight concussion, she should wake up soon. She's in room 18, you can wait for her there if you wish." Leon nodded his head as he gave the receptionist a smile. He walked away, heading towards the room.
"Wait" Kevin called out, following his old Flame. Leon continued walking, though slowed his pace, allowing Kevin to catch up to him.
"What's up Keller?" Leon asked fighting a smirk. He knew what the boy wanted to ask, he was trying to act oblivious, though he wouldn't last long.
"Why are you back?" Leon couldn't fight the smirk any longer as he glanced at Kevin. "My girl needs me and I need her. The move was always only going to be temporary. I didn't tell anyone, that way when I came back I could make my grand entrance, which I'm sure you can agree was spectacular."
