"It Appears Things Will Soon Change."

Riverdale High was now boring. Everyone was used to the Serpents, so they had no drama to deal with and they were relieved. Of course people like Reggie still made the odd comment, but that was expected.

Oscar wanted something interesting to happen to him, to happen in his life. He wanted to go on an adventure, but no one would venture off with him.

A sigh escaped the Tall Serpent's mouth as he stood against the lockers. He knew his friends were somewhere, Leon and Fangs probably having sex, while Rosalie and Sweet Pea were studying.

He had respect for the beautiful- for Rosalie. She always made sure they kept up with their work, even hitting them across the back of the head when they were distracted. She often bribed them with food.

He looked around the corridor, only to see Josie McCoy standing by a locker. He licked his lips at the sight of the girl. The girl was truly stunning, he couldn't deny, out of the three girls he was currently attracted to, Josie was top of the list.

The girl was focused on getting a book out of her locker, while Oscar was having an inner debate whether or not to go over to her.

A frown was on his face as he noticed Betty run into the girl's bathroom. His attention was now on the blonde girl. He was tempted to follow her, she looked really pale, even for her.

After a couple of minutes the infamous Cheryl Blossom left the bathroom, mumbling curse words under her breath. She pushed Oscar out of the way, causing him to stumble slightly.

"Stupid Betty."

When the words left Cheryl's mouth Oscar knew Betty was upset. He didn't care that she was in the girl's bathroom, he walked in. It wasn't his first time entering the forbidden room, the last time was at Southside High, though his reasons then were selfish.

"Betty?" he called out. "You shouldn't be in here" he heard the girl mumble. "Good thing I like to break rules then."

He saw Betty sitting by the toilet so sat on the floor opposite her. "So, have you got a bug? Or are you traumatized by something?" Betty looked up at him and he frowned. "Seriously Betty, what's happened? I wanna help."

"You should go" she mumbled. "I'm not-" "Go!" she snapped. He chuckled while shaking his head. "Nope. I'm not leaving, it's my job as a decent person to look after those in need, those who deserve my kindness. I gotta look after you Betty, it's what's right."

Oscar sighed as he stretched his legs, putting them on the wall. "I'm gonna stay here with you, until you feel ready to leave."

They stayed in the bathroom, neither speaking a word, remaining in a comfortable silence.

When Betty was ready to leave, Oscar stood up, helping her to her feet. "Thank you, Oscar" Betty said, causing the boy to smile. While they didn't say much, it was nice to have company.

It wasn't often Rosalie joined Cheryl in her archery practice, mainly because she could never hit the target, no not the middle of the target, but the whole target.
