A soft humming sound escaped Leon's mouth as he enjoyed his peaceful sleep. Everything in his life seemed to be going great. He had amazing friends, family who supported him and no reason to worry about anything.

He woke up when he heard the stairs creek, though his eyes remained closed. His bedroom door squeaked as it was opened and he groaned. "If you're here to kill me, you better do it quick. Because if I open my eyes and I'm not in hell, I'll kill you."

When he received no response, he sat up and opened his eyes, only to be greeted with the sight of people wearing snake masks.

"I'm not into orgies, nor does this kind of roleplay interest me. I appreciate the effort and offer five stars to show said appreciation."

"Your initiation starts with guardianship of the beast" Sweet Pea's voice said in a deeper than usual tone.

Leon scrunched up his face, confused. "What beast?"

A dog jumped on Leon's bed and started licking him. "Fuck sake. Why is it a dog? Why is it licking me? Can't I give it to Rosalie instead?"

Sweet Pea turned to the other Serpents and nodded his head. They took it as a sign to leave, all apart from Oscar and Fangs, who stayed by the tall Serpent.

"Where has Rose disappeared to anyway?" Oscar asked while taking off his mask. "Her Aunt arrived yesterday, while we were at the race. They're sorting out stuff for her parents cremation" Leon replied as he gently pushed the licking dog away from his face.

"When will she be back? I miss the little thing" Oscar whined causing the dog to whine. "I have no idea" Leon mumbled. "Now I have the beast, do me a favour? Either go to sleep, or fuck off, I'm tired."

Fangs turned to his friends and shrugged his shoulders before stripping into his boxers and joining Leon in bed. Sweet Pea and Oscar left the two alone.

"Why did you call me in here?" Leon asked while entering the Blue and Gold office. "I was having a peaceful sleep, after I was woke up by a beast last night and I'm not talking about sex. It might surprise you to know I didn't have sex."

Veronica nodded her head. "Apart from Leon enlightening us by his apparent beast, I'm curious on why we're here, as well as Leon. Has something happened?"

"My Dad's getting out of jail" Jughead said with a grin.

"What caused this miracle?" Veronica asked, while Leon was shocked. He knew FP was in jail due to his part in covering up Jason's murder. So why did they let him out?

"Overcrowding at the jail. I guess the judge reviewed my dad's case and after Cheryl's testimony, it was a perfect storm" Jughead said.

Archie was sure there was more to the reasoning of them being there, though he was unsure exactly what it was. "What do you need from us?"

"We need both of you, you and Veronica. We have a new lead on the Black Hood case. And Jughead and I, we were wondering if you two would follow up on it for us. We can give you all of the details, the articles" Betty explained.

"It's just, I have to be there for my dad to help him" Jughead stated. Betty smiled up at him before turning her attention to her friends. "And I'm taking a break from the Black Hood case."
