"The Monsters Are Usually The People We Never Expect. They Befriend Us Before They Destroy Us."

Never did Leon believe he would be on Veronica's bed. Of course he was comforting Cheryl, but that wasn't the point, he was being civil with Veronica.

"If you hadn't come when you did" Cheryl said quietly.

"Where the hell is he?" Archie asked causing Leon to roll his eyes. "Relax Weasley, we've taken care of him."

"He's right, Archie. You can put your cape away. Leon and the Pussycats already saved me" Cheryl told him.

Veronica sighed. "I feel so sick. Nick's a monster. And there's no way he hasn't done this before. Probably right under my nose."

Leon took her hand causing her to look at him. "Don't blame yourself, Lodge. The monsters are usually the people we never expect. They befriend us before they destroy us." He gave her hand a squeeze before letting go.

"I want to press charges. I want Nick to pay. To Suffer. To burn in hell" Cheryl said.

"You know, I could always cover him in gasoline before setting him on fire" Leon suggested. "I'm sure that will have the same effect." 

That was when Archie noticed the phone on the floor. He walked over to it, picked it up and saw Rosalie had called multiple times, as well as leaving a voicemail.

"Rosalie's tried calling you" He said as he handed Leon the phone. "Thanks."

Leon noticed the voicemail and put it next to his ear. "Red, Grey, Red, Grey." His eyes widened as he stood up. "I have to go, I have to go right now."

He ran out of the house and went to his own. The door was unlocked, yet closed. He knew the door was locked when he left earlier, someone entered and they had a key.

He saw Rosalie sitting on the chair, tears falling down her face.

"What happened?"

Rosalie looked at him and started sobbing. "She tried to kill me." Leon's eyes widened and he was outraged, furious. "I'll kill her."

"You might not have to." Leon's attention went to Sweet Pea, confused. "Why the hell not? What happened? Did you kill her?" "We heard a scream and a gunshot" Sweet Pea told him.

Leon went quiet as he realised what Sweet Pea was insinuating. The Black Hood killed her mother.

He went over to the girl. "I'm so sorry Rosalie. I'm sorry I didn't save you." "Sweet Pea saved me. He's a hero" she said.

While Sweet Pea thought his parents were bad for leaving him, that was nothing compared to Rosalie's pain. Rosalie's own mother tried to kill her.

Rosalie didn't sleep, not until 6am. She fell asleep with her head on Sweet Pea's shoulder. He didn't care, he just wanted her to be comfortable.

"This is all my fault" Leon mumbled.

Sweet Pea looked at him, unsure what to say. He was sure Rosalie called him first, so why didn't he answer. "Where were you?" "The So Dale Project, some guy tried raping my friend, I was making sure she was okay."
