A smile was on the boy's face as he looked at the woman in front of him. He had been waiting for this day for a while, the day he was finally deemed ready.
"Why do you believe you're ready?"
It was the question he was asked only a year prior. But unlike last year, his intentions were entirely different.
"With all due respect, I truly believe my anger was justified. I have, however, learnt with help from the farm, that I can't let the past affect me negatively. I must look forward to the positives in life. I forgive those around me who have made mistakes, for I believe it was God's plan to bring me here, to make me stronger. If they didn't hurt me, I would still be the same angered person as before."
A smile was on the woman's face as she looked at him. "It appears you have learnt from the past, you are strong, you have us in your heart. You will be going back to Riverdale high."
"I am ready, I was foolish in the past" he said. The woman nodded her head. "Of course you were, but Skittles, you are now stronger, wiser. You will go to Riverdale High and help us, help me recruit people." "Of course" he replied with a smile.
"That is all, thank you, Skittles." The woman walked away, leaving the smiling boy alone. She confirmed it. A relieved sigh escaped the boy's mouth.
"Get ready Riverdale High, Mickey Martins is back."
