Chapter 24
Lightningfrost ran through the forest, the scar that ran down her eye started to get irritated by the leaves from the hedges. But she continued to run, she needed to get to the mountain. To much time had been wasted in OceanClan. She remembered Hawksoul, she felt bad for leaving him behind but she needed to get to the mountain. She stopped to look around.
"Silver birch trees" she said under her breath. Her blue eyes scanned the forest searching for the trees.

His magnificent green eyes flickered open, the air was thin and cold. The stone den made the air around him icy cold what stung his damp light pink nose. He let out a stifled yawn, his snow white teeth reflecting the moons light. He licked his light brown tabby pelt with black patches. His mother, Stoneheart, rejected him when he was born, in her eyes he was ugly, a cat sent from the dark forest, for other reasons. Stoneheart was seeing a rouge, a few moons past then she kitted Hawksoul. His light brown tabby pelt and black patches made her reject him, but Berrybush took care of him even though she is a medicine cat, she saw him as a beautiful kit. His eyes mesmerised Berrybush, they were a bright emerald green, she couldn't take her eyes off them. Soon cats saw him as different, Saltstar was worried about him taking power so she cast him out. His normal bouncy self soon started to be a distant memory as he started to live a life as a rouge. But then he found Lightningfrost, sure she needed some persuading but she let him tag along. She let him be his self, that's what he liked about her. Hawksoul didn't know what he would do without her.

"Troutpool!" Snowfeather shouted from under the high rock. Troutpool pushed her way through the vines outside of Shadestars den. Troutpool looked down at the white warrior.
"What Snowfeather?" Troutpool asked sternly. Sunsky walked over to Snowfeather and rested her ginger tail on her friends shoulder.
"Its best if we talk with you in Shadestars den" Sunsky said softly looking up at her deputy. Sunsky knew Troutpool was under a lot of stress, last sunrise they had a battle with MeadowClan over stolen prey, the fox scent has been scaring away most of the prey so it was starting to become harder to find. Troutpool narrowed her amber eyes and nodded her head and flicked her tail for the two she-cats go in the den. Troutpool walked into the den and sat down near Shadestar. The large, muscular black tom kept his gaze on Snowfeather and Sunsky as they walked in.
"Shadestar-" Snowfeather began, but Sunsky cut her off with a flick of her ginger striped tail.
"Let me handle this," Sunsky said softly to Snowfeather, who nodded her head "Shadestar there is hardly any prey and MeadowClan crossed the border again this morning" Sunsky mewed and calmly as she could. Shadestars emerald green eyes narrowed, the fur on his neck began to bristle.
"Troutpool how many able warriors do we have left?" Shadestar ask his deputy and mate. Troutpool smiled
"The strongest warriors at the moment are Greydawn, Sunsky, Snowfeather, Smokestorm and Thistlehawk" Troutpool answered. It didn't seem like a lot of warriors but they were the strongest they had left after previous battles. Shadestar raised his chin a little.
"Round up the remaining strongest warriors, MeadowClan need to be taught a lesson" he told Sunsky. The ginger tabby she-cat grinned and walked out of the den flanked by Snowfeather. Snowfeathers brown eyes were full of mischief.
"Can't wait to sink my claws into their pelts" she snarled. Sunsky smiled.
"Nor can I"

"Grasseyes!" A worried voice called, the grey tabby tom turned to see Poppybush standing there, her brown tabby pelt ruffled.
"What is it?" He growled, the deputy hadn't had a decent sleep for three sunrises.
"DarkClan have been spotted by the border!" She said, her eyes wide. The deputy rolled his eyes.
"They are probably hunting" he yawned, but Poppybush shook her head.
"No, they were talking about battle tactics and taking back what should be theirs" Poppybush mewed. Grasseyes twitched his whiskers.
"Get all the available warriors" Grasseyes ordered. Poppybush nodded and ran to get all the strongest warriors to fight against DarkClan.

"Honeystar!" Adderfang shouted, Honeystar lifted her head up from the water vole she was eating.
"Can't you see I'm in the middle of something?" She snapped, at the old grey tom. Adderfangs gaze hardened.
"MeadowClan and DarkClan are having a battle" he said, Honeystars eyes narrowed.
"We may as well join them" she said standing up.
"Why would we do that?" He questioned. She lashed her tail.
"Why not? The apprentices can see what a real battle is like" she answered sternly.
"I will get the warriors" he said walking off.
"Leave Nighthawk here to help Beetletail, there is no way I'm staying out of this fight"
~*~
"You didn't think you could leave without me could you?" A voice said. Lightningfrost turned around to see Hawksoul, she was now half way through the silver birch tree forest, she could see the end of the silver forest.
"You should have stayed" she shouted to him. He bounded closer. His beautiful pelt shimmering in the sun. Hawksoul was a beautiful cat, Lightningfrost would never say it to him though.
"And leave you behind? Never!" He said nuzzling her shoulder, she smiled at him.
"Tell me, why did Saltstar banish you?" Lightningfrost asked, Hawksoul sat down.
"I don't want you to be freaked out" he said worryingly. She smiled and nudged his shoulder.
"Tell me" she whispered.
"I'm all clan blood. StarClan told me, I was freaked out. I have extra abilities like each clan, I can't be defeated in battle. Well you get the point." He said quietly. Lightningfrost froze.
"The prophecy was right" she whispered. He narrowed his eyes.
"What prophecy?" He asked leaning in.
"The cats with the power of the clans in their paws will meet. They shall make the stones that lead a path and tell a story, and open their eyes to the tree that holds power and wisdom. Night will bring peace once again with one wish. One more clan shall be brought back and fire will be among it. Lightning will have to forget about the hawk what sends frost and focus on the other bird in the sky and then a destiny will start"
