Chapter 6

"Try harder Flamespark!" Thistlehawk shouted walking around the ginger tom, as he skidded into a halt next to the grey and white warrior. Three sunrises had pasted since the fox attack, Troutpool was still badly injured. Lightningfrost twitched her whiskers as Riverlight stood there proud that she had beaten her litter mate. Flamespark let out a low growl at Riverlight who just sneered back.

"I don't understand why we have to train so much" Flamespark puffed shaking his ginger pelt and narrowing his eyes at Thistlehawk who lashed his grey tail.

"Shadestar wants us to improve our battle skills" Thistlehawk explained. Flamespark rolled his eyes. Riverlight waited at the other end of the clearing. The two warriors charged at each other once more, their claws sheathed. Their paws locked around each other, and they lightly bit at each others neck. Riverlight was over powered by Flamesparks weight and fell on her side, Flamespark stood over her proudly. Lightningfrost shuffled her paws in the rotting bark. A light breeze helped to cool her down in the burning sun.

"Lightningfrost! Smokestorm! Its your turn now!" Riverlight called while bounding over to the spot Lightningfrost was sitting at.

"Greydawn is leading a hunting patrol, with you bounding about like a kit you will scare all the prey away!" Lightningfrost said with a grin. Riverlight looked at her paws in shame and amusement. Flamespark walked over to her.

"Thistlehawk is training us too hard" Flamespark mumbled. The young ginger tom sat down and licked his tail. Lightningfrost stood up and stretched her back legs what seemed to have cramped up. She flicked the toms ear with her tail and walked over to were Flamespark stood, Smokestorm was were Riverlight was.

"Smokestorm, I want you to charge at Lightningfrost, Lightningfrost, do what ever you think is necessary" Thistlehawk ordered. The two warriors nodded their heads. Smokestorm ran at Lightningfrost, as he got closer he leapt at her. She ran under him and jumped up, she locked her paws around his stomach, and pushed him forward in mid air. The dark grey warrior landed on his back with Lightningfrost's paw on his neck. He suddenly flipped her on her back. He grinned down at her. She looked into his amber eyes, he stared at her blue ones, he seemed to be lost in a trance, staring into her eyes what seemed liked beautiful blue waves. He loosened his grip on her shoulders. She flipped him and held her paw on his neck, harder this time. She then removed her paw and let the baffled tom up.

"Wow! That was such a cool move! Can you teach us?" Flamespark shouting running towards her, Riverlight followed closely behind. Lightningfrost was about to answer but she could hear a faint voice calling her. She whipped her head around to try and see who was making the noise, her ears alert.

"Maybe another time" she said. She started to follow the strange voice, it seemed to be calling her from the forest.

"Were do you think you're going?!" Thistlehawk called after her, looking at her with confusion in his green gaze.

"As your deputy I instruct you to carry on the training Thistlehawk" Lightningfrost called back, her blue eyes challenged his green ones. He lashed his tail and instructed the others warriors to do something.

She continued to walk through the forest, then the voices turned into screeches and waves. Panic slowly started to rise within her, confusion closely followed. She wildly looked around for the fighting cats, then the fighting cats yowls turned into a cat meowing in pain. It was the sound of a mother giving birth, a raven gave a deathly screech in the background. She tasted the air but could only smell the scent of the salty river near by. She had to go to Sky-Rock, it might be StarClan summoning her.

The beautiful warrior bounded towards the cave what was located just beyond StreamClan territory. Quickly she looked around over her shoulder to make sure that she wasn't being followed and went behind a rose bush. She scrambled behind it, behind it sat the mouth of the cave. It was covered in moss and seaweed, the mouth was smooth due to the waves of the stream when its over flowed. A strong stench of fish wafted out of the caves mouth, like putrid breath. Paw prints of the cats before her were scattered at the mouth. She crawled into the cave, she followed the paw steps in the ground, as the light drained out of the cave. She let her whiskers lead the way. It suddenly sloped up, her paws fitted into the paw prints left by her warrior ancestors what helped guide her up the step hill in the tunnel, her back was being scratched by the top of the tunnel, she then felt a small amount of blood ooze from a scratch.

Sun light flooded into the cave. Her eyes adjusted to the bright light. She continued to walk up the slope. Soon the came to the Sky-rock. Its sharp pointed edges beamed sun light all around her making her wince. Small spiked rocks circled around the Sky-rock, what towered over the walls. She followed the paw steps in the rock and laid next to it, letting her black nose touch the warm, hard surface. She closed her eyes and soon sleep washed over her.

She opened her blue eyes to find herself in a star lit forest, tall lush grass covered her paws. Bright coloured flowers swayed in the light, warm breeze. Bee's buzzed around her ear, a yellow butterfly landed on the tip of her tail, she then lightly flicked it away.

"Bluestar! I need to talk to you!" She shouted. She looked around to see if the blue she-cat was anywhere. But she noticed a handsome grey warrior bound towards her. It was Strongpaw. He seemed to have grown, it wouldn't be long until he would get his warrior name.

"Lightningfrost what is it?" He asked slowing down next to her, he bright ambers eyes narrowed.

"Didn't StarClan want me?" She asked confused. Strongpaw gave her a confused look, he then shook his head.

"If we wanted to talk to you then we would have came to you" he explained. She narrowed her eyes, she twitched her whiskers, he seems to want to get rid of me, she thought.

"If you didn't want to talk to me, then how come you let me into StarClan?" She challenged. His amber eyes seemed like to burn like fire.

"I think its time you went" he said in a deep growl. She narrowed her eyes to her litter mate. They both stood their scowling at each other, their fur bristling.

"Ah Lightningfrost! What is it you would like?" A sweet voice asked. She turned her head around to see Spottedleaf walking up to her. Strongpaw flicked his ear. The sweet smell of herbs and flowers drifted from Spottedleaf to Lightningfrost.

"I needed to speak with StarClan, or they needed to speak with me" she said flashing a look at Strongpaw then she turned back to Spottedleaf. The pretty dappled she-cat sat down a smiled. Strongpaw let out a quiet growl.

"Well we didn't need to speak with you, but is there anything you want to ask?" Spottedleaf said. Lightningfrost heard Strongpaw moved his paws in the grass, his impatience irritated Lightningfrost, she wanted to rake his ears but she kept her claws sheathed.

"Well, I heard cats screeching, strong waves and a cat screeching as she gave birth. I thought you needed to tell me another prophecy" Lightningfrost said. Spottedleaf shook her head. Paws steps approached from behind her. The three cats turned their heads to see Bluestar walk towards them, but she stopped. Her eyes narrowed, she lashed her tail side to side.

"Its the mountain Lightningfrost it is calling you, its time you left the clans" Bluestar instructed
