The ball rang and it was time to go back to class. Jenna and I almost had the same classes other than photography, cause she took music since her parents want her to be musical and smart. I had a free period too, which was meant for studying if you needed it, but Jenna was in english at the time, and we wouldn't hang out anyway since she's part of a study group on her study hour. My free period had come now.

"I don't know what to do... are you alright with staying with my friend Pammila" She said thinking hard.

"No, it's alright Jenna, I can make friends by myself don't worry about me" I said.

"Hm, alright then, I'll pick you up at this bench" She said pointing at the bench we sat on. I nodded and smiled and watched her run to class.

I sat on the bench and plugged my ear buds into my phone and started listening to the beach boys as i doodled in my notebook.

A shadow came apon me, I looked up to see a girl with the biggest smile crossed her face. She had light brown strait hair that reached her waist. She had freckles spread from one cheek to another. Her dark brown eyes, lit up.

"Hi" I smiled. "Hey! Can I sit here?" She asked. She had an american southern accent. "Yeah of course" I said scooting over. "I'm Emily" She greeted sitting down. "Nice to meet you! I'm Alaska" I shook her hand. "Wow, what a beautiful name" She complimented. "Just like yours" I said back at her.

"So where are you from?" She asked "Well..." I said. I told her about how I was born in the pacific ocean and just came to live on land for the first time in my life. She was amazed. "I just moved here from Texas" She said excited.

"My dad just got a job here and this is my first day here" She said.

We ended up talking a lot about what we like here and how different it is. The bell rang and I went to my classes. Emily had the same classes too, which was cool but a coincidence. I saw Jenna in English reading a book. She looked up, saw me and waved at Emily and I. All the seats around her where taken so we had to sit at the front which always seemed to be open.

We did 3 more classes until lunch. Lucas was waiting for me to walk into the cafeteria.

"Hello" he greeted smiling. A guy with strait black hair that was spiked up was standing next to him. "This is my friend Matthew" He said as Matthew waved at us. I introduced Emily and Jenna had her eyes glued on Matthew. "Lunch?" I suggested breaking the sudden silence. We got some lunch and went outside to eat on the grass. We sat and ate having a conversation about where we lived. We didn't live far from each other. Just a 10 minute walk tops. "Why don't we put each others phone numbers in out mobiles" Jenna suggested. We all got each others phone numbers. The ball rang and we had to go back to class.

When It all ended, We all met up at the school entrance waiting for someone to pick us up. "we'll text later right?" Emily asked. "Yeah okay" we all agreed. My parents came in a cab and we finally went back home. We drove away making the school suddenly disappear when we took a turn onto another street. I felt good. I felt excited.
