~LUCAS POINT OF VEIW~
I felt that I could tell Alaska anything. She was an escape to happiness. Such a creature filled with mystery. She wasn't like any other girl, who would immediately start fixing her hair and trying to cover all the imperfections she fixes with makeup when I wake her up. She was so calm, and comfortable.
Just to see the sunlight make her hair turn gold made her more beautiful as she already was. I would never show anyone the place I go when I'm feeling troubled. Not even the people I've known for years. But even though I have known her for a week, she makes it feel like we've known each other for years.
We finally got to my hidden place behind vines, to see a fence and a sign attached to it saying "CLOSED FOR KEEPING" We both frowned.
"Well their only waiting for the mud to dry" Alaska said looking out at the little pond that sat not so far from a old tree that's vines almost touched the ground.
"Yeah what a shame" I said disappointed
"Wanna climb?" she suggested out of no where, I wasn't even sure if she was joking.
"The fence?" I checked smirking
"Yeah, I mean there's no danger other than slipping" she said looking up at the short fence.
"Alaska what if we get in trouble" I asked looking around to see if there where anyone watching
"There's a slight chance we wont" she said holding the fence. She had a little rebel inside of her. Which I found cute
"We wont let a little rain ruin our lunch" I smiled agreeing with her
As soon as we knew it we where throwing the basket over the fence and climbing over.
We settled down on our blanket and took out our sandwiches and juices enjoying the veiw
"You know Lucas" she paused waiting for me to listen. She finished her sandwich as I finished mine.
"I don't know you very well, and I don't know your back round, as you don't know mine. For all I know you could be someone who collects moldy pickles and keeps them in their dark closet. And I don;t know where we'll end up in a week or a month. But I know that I'm here, with you, enjoying this moment, and realizing that your pretty frikin cool" she smiled drinking out of her juice box as if she where a little girl again.
I smiled flattered "I like you quite a lot Alaska Jones, I like you quite a lot" I said pulling my juice carton to my lips.
"HEY! HEY!" We heard a voice as we quickly turned around to see a security guard speed walking towards us.
Alaska smiled big at me "I said a slight chance" she quickly reminded as she got up with me taking the basket
"What now?" I asked quickly
"RUN" she exclaimed as she ran ahead of me to another side of the fenced off area ready to climb it. I chased after her watching her climb the fence quickly and drop down on the other side watching me climb the fence. And we ran, we ran all the way back to my house.
We came in through the door laughing out of breath. "I liked being chased" she said smiling "So do I" I agreed
"That was fun" she added. I nodded walking to the kitchen getting us glasses of water.
"So you have the house all to yourself?" she asked looking around
"Yeah" I said chuckling
She didn't say anything she sexual or a suggestion on what we should do she said "So I can scream at the top of my lungs and that would be alright?" I laughed at her question and nodded to her watching her scream her lungs out.
She was full of curiosity and wanted to do the stupid stuff that didn't seem so stupid to her. She didn't care if you thought she was weird or care free, she didn't even care about the way people saw her in the morning. She was Alaska. Alaska Jones.
