ALASKA POINT OF VIEW

It was monday already and I woke up to a text from Emily.

Emily: Hey Alaska!

Emily: I was wondering if you wanted to hang out today?

I also had texts from Jenna and Lucas

Jenna: Hello Alaska, I've been fairly busy :( I hope we can talk soon

And then I read Lucas' message

Lucas: Hey! Saturday was fun, I wanna see you today :p

I first responded to Lucas saying: Emily wants to hang out today though

He responded immediately

Lucas: We should make a group chat, I'll make it now

Me: Okay :)

I then texted Jenna

Me: Jenn Lucas is making a group chat, but when are you free?

Jenna: Okay! And I'm not free today or tomorrow so I'll see you in school.

Me: That sucks :( But alright :)

Jenna: I'll talk to you later :D

I then replied to Emily

Me: Today sounds alright :)

Emily: Great! Do you wanna meet up for lunch?

Me: Sounds great! Lucas is creating a group chat

Emily: okay I'll look out for that

Suddenly a notification turned up saying: Lucas has just added you, and 3 other contacts to 'Group chat'

I went to group chat and we started a conversation.

Lucas: Hey guys welcome to the group chat

Me: Hello :3

Emily: Hey guys!

Lucas: What are you guys doing today

Me: Emily and I are gonna go for lunch

Emily: Wanna join?

Lucas: I wanna go shopping for high heels, not for lunch. So no

Me: What a shame

Emily: Lol Lucas yeah or no?

Lucas: I SAID NO

Me: So we'll pick you up at 11:50 Lucas?

Lucas: Yeah okay :3

Emily: Lol wheres Matt?

Matthew: Present

Me: wanna come Matt?

Matthew: Okay I'll meet you guys where ever after 3:00 if your still out

Emily: Okay where are we going?

Lucas: The mall?

Me: How far's the mall?

Lucas: Like 10 minutes away

Me: Okay I'm gonna get ready to go then

Emily: What time is it?

Me: it's 10:00

Lucas: Well I'm gonna eat breakfast then

Me: As will I

Emily: You lazy bums

Matthew: Okay bye

I slid out of my bed and walked downstairs to see my mom frying eggs and my dad reading the news paper.

"Goodmorning!" My parents greeted

"Goodmorning" I said grabbing a piece of bacon that sat on a plate on the island table.

"I'm gonna go for lunch with Emily and Lucas at the mall today" I said chewing it and sitting down watching my mom slide the fried egg in front of me.

"Wow your sure becoming busy" My dad  said chuckling

"Yeah, i feel like we hardly see you anymore" My mom said sitting down

"Well, I mean I guess it's good that I'm making friends right?" I said swallowing

"Of course! But just because you're making friends, doesn't mean that you no longer spend time with us my dad said putting down the news paper and my mom nodded her head.

"Well, we can plan stuff to do. I just you with the flow" I smiled

"Yeah!" My mom exclaimed taking my plate away.

"How about we go for dinner tomorrow night?" My dad suggested

We all agreed and I went back upstairs to get ready. I wore long light grey skinny jeans with a black sweater that said 'sweater weather is the best weather' printed in a lighter grey, with grey converse and a grey knitted hat with a little ball at the top.

"BE CAREFUL" my mom yelled from the living room as I headed out the door

I started walking down the street to Lucas' house a little early to wait for Emily. I knocked on his door as he opened it.

"Hello Alaska" He greeted as he guided me into his home

"Hey there you" I said as I followed him up the stairs to his room.

"I'm redoing my room" He explained the grey empty walls. I looked around his room staring at his football trophies and pictures. I saw a picture of two people, a man a women holding a baby. I picked it up and smiled.

"Those are my real parents" He said looking over my should

"You're real parents?" I said confused.

"Yeah. To make this very long story short, my parents got divorced when I was 6 and got married to other people by the time I was 7. I was switching houses every week, to my mums, then to my dads. But they realized how confused and unhappy I was, and they didn't want to fight for my custody. So they just gave me to my aunt and my uncle who lived here. I was happy and I wasn't lonely, because at the time my cousin lived here, but she went to collage last year. And I haven't seen my parents since" He shrugged and plumped into his bean bag chair that sat in front of his T.V.

"I've never told anyone that actually" he said looking back at me

"well I'm glad you told me" I said looking around his room again.

"Wanna play video games" he suggested handing out a controller to me.

"I've never played" I said. He shrugged care free and I attempted to play the violent game that I seemed to enjoy, waiting for Emily to ring the doorbell.
