I went to school the next day. I was uncomfortable for the second day of school talking to Jenna, but I did anyway. I hung out with Lucas, Emily, Matthew, and Jenna, which was our group. I helped Lucas on homework over facetime because his parents needed him to help out on something. And Jenna was doing very important studying for something that's coming up for her, and Emily was still moving in. Matthew was just simply to awkward to hang out alone with. So I didn't see anyone those couple of days. It was Thursday. And then something happened.
I was sitting on our usual bench listening to music and studying. A girl sat next to me. I looked over and unplugged my earphones.
"Hello?" I said unsure who she was
"Hello" She said crossing her legs
"You're the new girl" she added looking at her hot pink nails
"yeah" I said raising my eyebrows waiting for her to say something.
"I'm Sierra" she snapped "and yours?"
"Alaska" I said. I already didn't like her. She was the girl everyone told me not to meet.
She laughed like it was a joke. I lightly squinted my eyes unsure what to do.
"See, I think that's a joke" she pointed out.
Lucas caught my eye and ran over as he slid right next to me.
"See, um, Alaska" she laughed again "You're either gonna be on my good side, or my bad side" she said relaxed sighing "so choose your side now, cause you'll regret it later"
"Okay, um, first of all, my name is Alaska" I said annoyed. "I choose neither"
"There is no neither..." she said
"Yeah... right in the middle" I said smiling
"No! There is no middle" she said frustrated
"No?" I asked. She shook her head. "Oh.. well I just made one" I chuckled
"okay FINE" she practically screamed "I see you've chosen your side!" she said smiled mysteriously as she turned around and walked away.
"Yeah! THE MIDDLE" I screamed laughing hoping she heard me. Lucas laughed. But why did she suddenly have to come to me? And why did I have to be so mean. I guess it was because everyone that didn't like her, described her that way.
"I can't believe you just did that" Lucas said eating a banana
"I'm usually not like that" I laughed
"I think we're gonna have fun with Sierra this year" Lucas giggled.
I already had it at the back at my head.
