Jungkook's POV
I woke up drenched in sweat, panting heavily. My eyes circled the room in panic for a few moments before I remembered where I was. Aidyn's house.
I pulled the sheets off of my sweaty body and climbed out of bed, going towards the open window. The moon was full, and casting beautiful silver shadows across the room.
I opened it gingerly, basking in the cool fall air as the wind whipped my hair around my face. I sighed, and decided to take a risk.
I didnt want to wake up Tae with my dilemma, so I lifted myself out of the window and into the night sky. My legs landed softly on the roof, skidding to a stop.
I scooted away from the window slightly to lean against the framework as I stared out into the night. There was a forest behind her house, and what looked to be at least a dozen deer were wandering around, grazing lazily, tails swishing as they walked.
Everything was drenched in the silver of the moon, beautifully dark and yet light at the same time.
Something moved nearby, and I jumped up into a crouched position, looking around to see what it was. Except it wasn't a start burden that I found there. It was Aidyn, already on the roof even before I was, shifting her position so that her knees were drawn up close to her chest.
Her normally golden hair glowed silver as it whipped and whirled in the wind, blown around her face like dandelion fuzz. She was in an oversized sweatshirt, but the printed words were too well hidden for me to read. Her long, thickly muscled legs were exposed, only the shortest of shorts covering them.
I looked up at her face, half excepting her to notice me already and saw something glinting off of her face. Tears. She was crying, but somehow, despite the redness of her eyes or the spoltchiness of her nose and cheeks, she was more beautiful to me than she had ever been.
I could tell she wasn't one for makeup as she always wore the minimal, but seeing her so raw and vulnerable made my heart ach as I was hit with the full force of her. She was more beautiful than all of the stars in the night sky sprinkled high above us, more beautiful than the power of a thousand suns.
It was magnificent but melancholy at the same time. She was upset by something, but also at the same time more open that she had ever been around me I didnt know the beautiful girl, and yet I felt as if we were closer than ever, simply because I saw her at what was most likely her weakest point. She was at an all time low, and u was there to see it.
Somehow, it made me feel good, and happy, and proud, and because of that growing sensation that I was beginning to get in the pit of my stomach for the first time in years, I decided to go back inside, and leave her alone with her mind as I thought about the moment we had just shared.
