"Okay. Well, we first started dating last year, my junior year of high school. We'd been talking for a little while, and I really, really liked him. He was kind, and funny, and he made me happy. Sure he had a bit of a temper, but so do I, so it seemed okay at the time. Since we went to the same school, he would always come pick me up from my house in the mornings and drop me off at home after school.
We would go on dates, and hang out at school. If we ever got to pick our partners for group projects, we always chose each other. I lost a few of my friends because I was always with him and they didn't like that. Or him, for that matter. In the end, Talia and Tyler were really the only ones who stuck by me.
Eventually I started to notice him pulling away from me, going to 'hang out with his friends' or have guys night more and more often. I knew what guys night was, of course; an excuse for them to get drunk and hit on random girls until Ja- he... needed me to come pick him up. And I did, every time. Because I had been so lonely, and my anxiety was starting to get worse and worse.
After about five or so months, I had a feeling he was cheating on me. I only caught him once, and after that he was really clingy and nice for a while until I eventually forgave him and took him back. The cycle began to repeat itself though, and I could feel him pulling back once more. When I got the text that day, that's when I knew for sure that I needed to break up with him. God, I feel so stupid for letting myself feel this hurt over a stupid boy." I finished. Unbeknownst to me, I had begun to cry as I was speaking, and I didn't realize it until I finished, and Taehyung leaned forward and wiped them away with his thumb.
Jungkook took my spoon and took out a large scoop from the container before handing it back to me to eat. I ate it, and he fed me more and more until most of the ice cream was gone. "Thank you." I mumbled. He nodded, rubbing my back.
My phone began to ring quite loudly just then, blaring Fake Love through the room. Jungkook raised an eyebrow curiously. I blushed in embarrassment, picking it up. "Hello?" I asked. It was Tyler on the other end.
"Hey sis. You sound like you've been crying? Why are you crying? Aidyn, you never cry, what's wrong? Do you want me to fight someone for you? Or let you fight someone to let your anger out?" He rambled on. I chuckled.
"No, no, no, it's nothing like that. We just saw Jarin today, and... some shit went down. Anyway, do you want to come over?" I asked him.
"Who's we?"
"Come over and you'll find out. Also, call Talia and invite her too." I said mischievously. He sighed, and responded with a quick, 'I'll be there in 20,' before hanging up the phone. I laughed, and took an Oreo from Taehyung's hand. "Tyler's coming over, go tell the boys. I need to freshen up a bit." I said to the men on my bed. They nodded, and began to walk out of my room.
"Jungkook, wait." I called. He paused at the doorway, and I rushed up over to him. "Thank you. And Taehyung, but... I never got a proper hug from you." I smiled, and he pulled me in, hugging me close to his chest. I felt safe there, in his arms. He smelled strongly of eucalyptus and lime, a combination that I love.
"Of course. I don't care if we're continents apart, you call me and I'll come, okay?" He said, rubbing my back. I blushed into his chest and nodded in response. "Good. Now let's go downstairs before everyone gets nasty thoughts, okay?"
"But I have to go freshen up." I said, trying to pull away from him.
"You look beautiful just the way you are. I don't care whether you've been crying or not. You could go through literal Hell and I would still think you're gorgeous, so don't sell yourself short, okay?" I turned beet red and hid my face in his chest once more, nodding slowly. "Okay. Now come ooon, let's go."
He pulled out of the hug and grabbed my hand. Just as we were about to walk downstairs, I heard the loudest scream I had ever heard in my life. We rushed downstairs to see that Talia had fainted into Namjoon's arms, and Tyler was just kind of standing there with a shocked face.
"Oh yeah. So this is the 'we' I was talking about Tyler. Heh." I grabbed his arm and pulled him into the kitchen. "Um, so yeah. They're kind of staying with me for a week or so, so I need you to just stay cool, okay? Stay. Cool." He nodded, but his eyes still had a glaze over them. So I slapped him. Not hard or anything, but just hard enough to get his attention.
"Aish! What the hell was that for?!" He yelled. I gave him a stern look and he calmed back down. "Okay, okay. I'm sorry. Let's go talk to BTS!!!" He squealed, grabbing my hand and pulling me back into the living room where Talia was just beginning to regain consciousness.
"Um, so this is Tyler and Talia, you know, the people you met at the concert besides me. Yeah..." I trailed off, unsure of what exactly to say.
"Oh yeah!" Yoongi was awake now and he jumped off of the couch to come greet Tyler. "You're the gay one, right? Good." I raised an eyebrow and left the two of them in the corner to do their flirty business.
I sat down on the couch beside Jimin, watching as everyone socialized around me, smiling at my creation. "Look what I've done..." I whispered to myself. Unfortunately, Jimin heard, and began laughing uncontrollably, drawing everyone's attention to him as he fell of the couch and onto the floor.
"HEY GUYS!" Tyler suddenly shouted. "LET'S ALL GO UPSTAIRS AND WATCH MOVIES IN AIDYN'S ROOM!" Everyone cheered and agreed, and I finally realized that Tyler had brought a sleeping bag for this exact reason. Well that certainly explains things, I thought.
We all walked upstairs and began setting up pallets and places to sleep on the ground. The bed was reserved for me, and whoever I deemed good enough to share the bed with me at the end of the night. In the meantime, the maknae line and I crowded onto it as we all watched Train to Busan on my TV.
I found myself falling asleep a few times during the movie due to my comfortable position on my bed, but Jimin would always end up moving, making me stay awake until the movie was over. "Guys I'm tired. Let's sleep now, okay?" Jimin said. It was only 11:30, but I was tired as well.
"Yeah, he's right. It's bedtime kids. Find a sleeping partner and share a palette." I said, rolling under the covers.
"Wait, Aidyn. Who's gonna sleep with you?" Taehyung asked. I shrugged.
"Jimin kept moving, and I don't need him disturbing my sleep. Jungkook and Taehyung are fine. Just shut up and let me sleep." I felt two bodies on either side of me slipping under the covers, and then pure black as I drifted off to sleep.
