Aidyn's POV
"What color do you think we should dye our hair?" Taehyung asked. I gaped at him, wondering if that was actually the important thing he wanted to talk about. I blinked for a moment before Jungkook shook his head.
"No, no, no, that's not it. I mean, that's part of it but there's something else. So um... your mom called today." He said, pulling on his fingers with his other hand.
"Oh Lord." I facepalmed before taking a deep drink from my coffee, motioning for him to continue. I noticed I was now in pajamas, but didn't really think anything of it. Too tired to care.
"I didn't answer the phone, Namjoon did, but he put it on speaker so we could all hear. This was during your nap, of course. Um, she said something about 'getting your ass to Grammy Jan's no matter what,' and for you to 'bring your seven little friends too if you want.' I'm not really sure what she meant, but you probably do cause she's, y'know, your mom and all." He said, looking a bit bashful.
"Yeah, I do," I sighed. "Every year for Thanksgiving we go up to my great-grandmother's house to celebrate for the weekend or whatever, and I told my cousin that I probably wasn't going to make it because you guys were in town. I suppose he ratted me out to my mother, the little brat." I finished up my coffee and began twisting the bracelets on my wrists.
"I've never not gone before, but with you guys here and all... plus I've gotta go to school tomorrow the scene, and." I sighed once more. "I just don't think it's gonna work out this year, is all." I finished.
"What? No! You have to go, Aidyn. Especially if you've never missed before. Look, we can handle finding a away to get our hair dyed, you just worry about packing, and your scene, and driving safely, okay? We got this." Taehyung said, patting my head.
My eyes widened in shock at the new news. "Dying your hair?" I asked.
"Yeah. Namjoon hyung also got a call from Manager hyung saying we need to dye our hair again before we come home. But at least there was also a time extension! Three extra days to spend together!" Taehyung said, jumping around and grinning widely.
I nodded my head slowly, processing this new information. "Okay... I know a guy. His name's Elias, and he can hook you guys up when it comes to the hair stuff. As for the rest... that should be fine. We can stay up in Daingerfield for a few extra days, I'm sure they won't mind." I said, tapping the edge of my mug with my finger as I thought.
"So? What colors?" Jungkook asked. Scrunching up my face in concentration, I thought about it for a moment before answering.
"Jungkook, your power color is red, but I think changing things up and going for a dark blue or a navy would be really nice. Taehyung, go back to grey, please. It looks so good on you. For Jimin, I think a soft pink would be cute. Hoseok should go either red or black again, Yoongi needs mint back, Namjoon would look nice in like a purple again, and I think Jin should go blonde again." I said all in one breath.
"Um, wow, okay. You've though about this before, haven't you?" Jungkook asked, giggling lightly.
"Look, bunny boy, sometimes I get bored. So yeah, I've thought about this before." I teased, laughing as well.
"Bunny boy? Who are you to talk, short stuff?" He retorted.
"Short stuff? At least find something better, I've heard all the short jokes, Seagull." Taehyung's eyes flitted back and forth between us.
"Wow, haven't heard that one in a while. Can't say I'm surprised though, you seem like a person to like dead memes, Tiny Temper."
"Whatever you say, Jeon Cena."
