Namjoon's POV
The rest of the drive was relatively silent, with a tension so thick you could cut it with a knife. Aidyn never looked anywhere but the road, every once in a while sniffling or clearing her throat. Jimin, who was seated behind her, kept looking over to Jungkook, shooting him distressed glances.
I sighed and put my head on my hand, looking out the window. For a moment I couldn't help but imagine that I was in a music video for a sad song, but I shook that away when I realized we had reached the roller rink.
Aidyn's POV
I gripped the steering wheel tighter, turning into the parking lot. I parked the van in a shady corner and shook my head, sighing as everyone else got out.
That damn song. Every time that song comes on, I can't help but think of my father, a man I never want to think about. Every. Fucking. Time. Highway 20 Ride was the worst song you could play for me, because every time you do, I either break down into tears until I'm choking and sobbing on the ground, or I get so angry I break everything I touch. It's like I'm Namjoon or something.
Someone knocked on my door, and I remembered where we were. I took a deep breath and composed myself before turning off the car and gathering my things. Hopping down from the tall van, I couldn't help but smile.
There I was, with BTS, the biggest boy band in the world, and they actually wanted to hang out with me. ME! I plastered on that smile and waved them inside where I knew fun would be had and memories would be made.
We walked inside quickly as it was starting to sprinkle outside. I accidentally left my warm coat in the van, so I was left with just my grey sweater on. I shivered as we reached the door, and Taehyung rubbed my arms with his hands to create some friction and warm them up. I could feel the temperature dropping, and I was grateful that I was with the boys in that moment.
He looked down at me and smiled as we walked in. The boys followed me over to the reception area where a bored looking woman in her late forties stood checking out her nails. Her makeup was horribly done, and there was a smattering of blue eyeshadow all around her eyes, not just on the lids. She wore the mandatory "Austin Roller Rink" t-shirt, and awful khaki shorts that made me want to call Tyler so we could gag together about her fashion sense.
"Hi, um... eight pairs of shoes please." Namjoon greeted the woman, and I was grateful, because I knew if I opened my mouth towards her I would end up saying something about her appearance that would most likely get us kicked out.
"Alrighty sugarplum, what sizes? Oh, and also that'll be $49, unless you choose the party pack, in which case it'll be $60, but you'll also get a drink and two snacks per person." She said, licking her lips grossly and smiling at him in a perverted way. Ever inattentive Namjoon just smiled back and turned to face us, asking what size shoes we all wore.
He turned back to the woman who's nametag read Sandy and told her all of our sizes. "Oh, and also please, we would like the party package." He said in English, handing her his credit card. She swiped it slowly, maintaining eye contact with him until his eyebrows raised suddenly and he turned to us. "Guys, do you want to see some pictures of my crabs?" Everyone groaned, but his smile was big so we listened. "There are five. I named them..." He trailed off when she tapped his shoulder, handing him his card back.
She looked confused at the fact that we were speaking Korean in a public place, or in general, but she just handed us our shoes and waved us on over to the seating area. There were tables and booths, similarly to a restaurant, but everything was much cheaper made, and most of the chairs had a slightly sticky resin on them. I waited to put on my shoes, opting to instead go get everyone their snacks.
My arms full, I hobbled back over to where our tables were and dumped all of the snacks onto the table. "Thanks for the help guys." I said sarcastically, sitting down. Hobi smiled at me like nothing was wrong, and Yoongi just shrugged, making his classic flat-lip 'meh' face. I shook my head and watched as they all got up, attempting to skate over to the actual rink. I helped walk Yoongi over to the wall, where he stayed for the remainder of the day.
"C'mon Aidyn! Let's go roller skating!" Jimin exclaimed, grabbing my arm. He tried to skate away, but due to my lack of skates, we didn't go anywhere, and he ended up falling on the floor from the force of pushing himself forward. I laughed, but covered my mouth when I realized he might find it rude. He stood up and dusted himself off, looking disgusted at the fact that he had just fallen onto the ground.
He pouted, and I put my hands up in surrender, sitting back down to put on my shoes. He stood their not-so-patiently waiting for me to finish, bouncing slightly at the knees. When I finally stood up, he took off, pulling me along with him. "Aish, Jimin!" I exclaimed, surprised at how quickly he was able to move us along. I didn't bother to move my feet at all, just let him pull me along with him.
Eventually he let me go, and we just skated around for a little while. At one point he did his iconic spin, and I couldn't help but wonder what I had done in a past life to be able to witness this in person. Hobi would sometimes glide past us, trying his hardest to learn how to skate, his head in his own little world. Hope World. When Jimin noticed that Taehyung and Jungkook were hanging out at the center wall, he pulled me over there with a pout on his lips.
"Guys," Jimin whined, "You're supposed to be skating!" Jungkook chuckled and looped his arm through Jimin's, taking off through the nearly deserted skating rink. The lights were dimmed, but there were green and blue and purple strobe lights to give the place a 'party' type of look. I looked over at Taehyung to see him already looking at me.
"So Aidyn..." He paused. "Wanna dance?" I hadn't realized it before, but there was music playing over a cluster of speakers in each corner. The music wasn't bad, just instrumental versions of famous current songs. I blushed and nodded my head, and he rolled his way around the wall over to me. I pushed myself off of the wall as the song changed again.
"Gotta catch me first, Tae!" I called back, skating faster away from him. He chuckled and followed after me, but not nearly as fast as I was going. Luckily for him, and unluckily for me, he was smart about it, and waited until I rounded the corner to catch me. He came right into my path and blocked me, grabbing my arm as I tried to swerve away from him.
"Hey! I'm too clumsy for this shi--" He managed to pull me closer to him as I tried to call out, but my feet caught on his and we ended up falling in the ground, him on top of me. My eyes widened in shock.
There I was, laying on the ground in a roller rink with Kim FUCKing Taehyung's entire body on mine. His face was on my chest, his waist right around mine due to the height difference. He picked his head up from my chest and smiled like a goofball, not making any moves to remove himself from me.
"Aish! I told you I was clumsy!" I said, pushing him off of me. "And what did you do? You made me fall! Way to go, Kim Taehyung. Nice job." I brushed myself off a little and skated back over to the wall where Yoongi had been... filming?! I rushed over to get the phone from him, but he threw it over to Jin who was standing by Namjoon listening to him talk about crabs the whole time.
He looked confused and handed it to Namjoon, who tried to skate away from me. I caught up, however, so he threw it over to Jimin. If I wasn't so pissed off, I would have been amazed that he actually caught it and it didn't break, but I was. Jimin was the only one there who could really actually skate besides me, so getting it from him proved to be a challenge.
I chased him around the rink multiple times, eventually catching up to him in the middle somewhere. We wrestled around for a few moments, both of us trying to gain and keep control of the phone. When I almost had it, he stood up completely straight, turned around to look me in the eye, and put the phone down his pants.
I stared at him with wide eyes for a moment before hardening my face. Not taking my eyes off of his, I unbuckled his pants quickly and reached down, grabbing the phone as quickly as I could, trying not to touch his dick with all of my might. His eyes widened in fear, but then I got the phone, and I. Hauled. Ass. To get away from him.
I skated over to the seating area and changed my shoes, slipping my black Converse back onto my feet. Thanking the man behind the counter who had witnessed it all, I returned the shoes and ran off to the car. It was pouring rain outside, and I couldn't help but seek refuge in the warmth of my car, breathing in a deep sigh.
