~10th September~

Knock, knock, knock!

I groan. James had just fallen asleep. I wince as he flutters open his eyelids, revealing his beautiful chocolate brown eyes. "Please don't cry," I beg as I rest him down in his bouncy seat and pop a pacifier into his mouth. I maneuver through the still unpacked boxes to the front door. As I swing the door open, I almost jump back in shock to see two familiar, smiling faces.

"Oh my God... Tess? Phil?" I don't even bother to contain my excitement. I wrap my arms around both of them. "What are you guys doing here?"

"We may have run into a certain redhead names Marylin," Phil says as he pulls away, grinning.

"Who may have told us everything..." Tess adds. The colour drains from yourself. As if reading your mind, Tess quickly says, "We didn't say anything to Dan." I smile sadly and nod as a thank you.

"Oh, come in. Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee? Vodka?" They laugh and shake their heads.

"Maybe just some tea, please. And a hold of your minion?" Tess asks as she flops herself down on my lounge.

"Sure thing. I'll start with tea first." As I start to make my way to the kitchen, I stub my toe on one of the boxes and let out a string of curses. Tess and Phil fall silent. "I'm okay!"

Once I'm finished in the kitchen, I walk out slowly and carefully as to not run into another box and spill hot tea all over myself. I hand the two their drinks and sit down in the arm chair across from them. Tess smiles at me sympathetically.

"Y/N, let us help you unpack. I understand it's been hard with James, so Phil and I will be happy to do it."

I'm about to answer and tell her how great it would be when I catch sight of her left hand. My chest tightens and I feel a twinge of pain. Never the less, I smile widely at it. "Holy shit! Tess, when did this happen?"

She looks down at her ring and blushes. "Oh, a few months ago. Was it the fifteenth of June?" Phil nods. "Anyway, I'm so sorry we didn't tell you. We haven't even told Phil's fans yet, we've been waiting until the tour is over. And we weren't sure if... if you would be upset... and we were scared you didn't want to talk to us. You left so quickly, I just thought-"

"Tess, it's okay." I cut her off. "I'm really happy for you two, nothing will change that. Also, the fifteenth of June? That's when James was born!"

"Speaking of," Phil rubs his hands together eagerly. "When can I meet my not actual nephew?"

"Right now," I chuckle. Walk into the nursery where James still sits in his bouncy chair, playing with the toys on the mobile dangling from his head. "It's time to meet your aunty and uncle!" I cook as I pick him up.

As I walk back into the room, the conversation between the couple stops, Tess gasps and Phil squeals.

"I'm holding him first!" Phil holds out his arms.

"No way, I am!" Tess argues.

"Rock, paper scissors?" Phil suggests. Tess rolls her eyes but agrees. I laugh at the two acting like children. Phil defeats Tess, paper against rock and cheers in victory. Shaking my head, I hand him over to Phil. "Hello, there," he says in a soft voice.

"Y/N, he's beautiful!" Tess looks like she's going to cry.

"And his eyes, they're just like..." Phil trails of, not sure if he can continue.

I just smile softly, but I know I can't hide the sadness in my eyes. "I know."
