East London, England.
Earth (Sol III).
The drizzly November air blew cold throughout the land, bringing with it brief but doubly biting droplets of rain as an aftermath of the weather throughout the last couple of days, merging with the puddles already formed on the ground. All was tranquil and calm, except for the far off sounds of motorway cars echoing in the surrounding area, sometimes making people unable to tell the difference between the distant sound of a motor vehicle and that of a simple gust of wind. All was perfectly ordinary in London, as per usual.
Inside one flat in a tower block only a few stories tall, the television screen on one side of the lounge, which was directly adjacent to the door leading to the outside, was eminating all different colours and sounds during its weekly round of the Doctor Who episode broadcast for the brand-spanking new series, where the Doctor was finally a woman at long last, with this week's episode being titled 'Kerblam'. By now there were only a few more seconds left until the end of the episode and the preview which would follow, providing a sneak peak of what next week's broadcast had in store.
"Well that one was creepy." Some moments later, when the episode ended, there was a chuckle from one of the 2 girls, both in their late teens, who were sat next to each other on the sofa, and this girl's long mass of frizzy blonde hair was elegantly tied back into a ponytail with a pink hairband. The flat which they were currently sat in was hers.
"Agreed. I know it sort of sounds childish but I'm actually a tiny bit scared to go into dark rooms for a couple of minutes now for fear of finding those weird robots we just saw." Nodded her friend, the younger of the pair, whose wavy brown hair cascaded down her back like a waterfall, framing the blue eyes she had which were similar to her friend's. She pushed her black-rimmed glasses a tad bit further up her nose. "But at least this week's one was actually pretty easy to wrap your head around and had an exciting plot, unlike that one from Season 9, The Girl Who Died."
"Well according to the preview, next week is gonna be about a witch hunt. That should be cool!" Added the blonde, Eleanor Rutherson. "And it's set in the past, too. Usually the ones set in the past aren't as ominous as the future-y episodes."
"Well hopefully the world will follow the series' example and not make the weird, creepy tech shown in some of the episodes actually come true." Replied Jennifer 'Jenny' Integra. "Anyway, our weekly Doctor Who screening is done until next time, so I'd best be off." She got up, brushing her shirt down and picking up her phone from right next to where she'd just been sitting.
I reccomend listening to this song below while reading the rest of this section which is about to follow here :D
"I'll see you out then." The older female did the same and proceeded to walk over to the door at the other end of the room. Her friend also picked up her car keys as she walked in the same direction. "See you tomorrow."
"See you later. Just to double check, are we still on for that studying session tomorrow morning during our break?"
"Yeah."
"Okay, thanks! Asta la pasta!" Jenny waved and said this last sentence with a cute little Italian accent in an impression of Feliciano Vargas. She was an avid fan of an anime she had loved for a while known as Hetalia: Axis Powers, or just simply Hetalia, with a massive crush on the German brothers from that said series, Germany and Prussia, but especially Germany. Ludwig Beilschmidt and her passion and enthusiasm about him in the series was what had gotten her into her joint love for the German country itself in real life and its culture, and she vowed to make a visit to Deutschland once she'd scraped together enough dosh for it. She currently worked weekday evenings at the local library near to the tower block she lived in and had been doing so for the last year, and it was only a few months before the events occurring right now when she finally managed to get enough money to procure her first car: a dark blueish-black BMW 5 Series.
