With an arm tucked around his wife, Derek walks behind his sister's coffin. He never thought this would happen again. He can't help but think about how he has to bury his sister, twice. He had to put her together, twice.

Lexi squeezes his hand when she sees the look of sorrow on his face. He's thankful that she doesn't say "It'll get better" or "It's ok" because it's not. She knows that. He knows that.

The kids walk in front of them. He can't imagine what they are thinking. They've lost people—Argent, Kelly, Deaton—but they never lost someone to violence. Derek had made sure they would be safe from murder and mayhem, but Hayley and Laura did not die of age.

"This is all wrong," Derek hears Hope mutter. He agrees. Laura would have preferred something more extravagant. More people. She always was a people-person.

"Where are Marcel and Vincent?" Derek asks suddenly, realizing they are missing.

Lexi sighs and clenches her jaw. "Dealing with roaches," she murmurs.

Derek doesn't push. 
"They should have done it later," she says, her eyes moving over the people crowding the streets. "Hope needs them."

"We need them too," he snaps.

Lexi pauses and looks up at him. "She has no one now. We have each other," she says. He looks away. "We will always have each other."

Derek goes silent. He looks ahead, the lilies on the coffin blinding him. Lexi does the same.

Suddenly, she shivers in his grasp. "Something's wrong," she says as she stops walking.

Both Teddy and Stella stop, turning to face their parents. Lexi's expression turns to panic as screams erupt from the streets.

Tires screech to a halt. People begin to yell, "Get out of the way!"

"Josh!" Freya yells at the vampire standing to the side. Cars park themselves before the coffins, unmoving and threatening. Hope stands with clenched fists before her mother.

"Scott!" Lexi searched the crowd before finding the Alpha. He meets her gaze, panic and worry in his eyes. He grabs onto Stiles, pulling him back despite the human's arguments.

Lexi relaxes when she hears Klaus' voice calling out to her and Freya. "Go to Scott and Stiles," she orders Teddy and Stella. "Stay in sight unless everything goes to hell."

Stella looks like she might refuse before Teddy drags her away. She slaps his arm but knows better than to argue. Especially since the order comes from her mother.

"Klaus!" Derek yells, seeing the hybrid rush up to the group of Mikaelsons.

Lexi watches as Josh walks over to the vans' open doors. He pulls back a protective curtain to reveal three vampires hidden there with guns.

Lexi releases a growl from low in her throat. Her eyes glow red. "It's him," she states. "He was Greta's second."

Derek starts, his claws biting into his palms. Freya holds him back. "He's responsible—" he says.

"I know, but Hope is right there." Freya motions to the girl. "Alexis can handle this."

Derek huffs as Lexi walks up to Josh and the vampires. "Emmett," she sneers. "What the hell do you want?"

"Where are Antoinette and Elijah?" the vampire demands.

Lexi offers him a sweet grin. "Probably dying under a rock somewhere. I'll be glad to help you join them."
