Chapter 6

Warning: later on there will be a mentioning of a really sensitive topic.

Athena's POV

I woke up slowly. Beside me lay Yui, Kuro and Blanco. I smiled warmly at them. I got slowly, being silent as I did so. I went to the drawers, and picked up an outfit. The outfit consisted of a white summer dress, with see through material which wen along the arms. The dress hugged my figure, but came cout below my waist. The dress came to just above my knees. I then went to the en suite, and had a quick shower. Using my abilities, I quickly dries my hair. I was slightly hungry, so I came out of my room and made my way towards the kitchen. Upon approaching, the scent of waffles hit my nose, making my mouth water. When I was nearer to the door, I heard a light whistling that had no particular tune. I walked in. My eyes were greeted with white marble counter tops, and a large, golden chandelier. The large windows let in the bright morning sunshine. The person making the waffles had their back to me, but I knew who it was. It was Sylar.

"Bad morning, it is not." I greeted in a Yoda voice. He turned around, a smirk spread across his face, as he placed a strawberry in his mouth.  "Good morning." He replied. "Would you like some waffles?" He asked cheerfully. "Yes please!" I said giddily. I made my way over to the waffles, and took a plate. I sat down, and Sylar sat next to me, also starting to eat them. "Wow, these are amazing, thank you!" He smiled in response. It did not take long for us to finish. I got up, and took both our plates to wash up in the sink. As I started to wash them, Sylar came from behind me and leaned against my ear. He whispered "What are all your abilities?" Alarm bells went off in my mind. If he wanted someone's ability, then he would carve into your skull and take the power. "You wouldn't be able to take them. I am not like the rest of the people you killed."

"So, you know who I am, and what I am capable of." I nodded. He spun me around so that I was facing him. He was looking into my eyes intently, as though trying to figure me out. But I could tell on his face that he couldn't. Due to this, he began smiling insanely. He was still gripping my shoulders, when I whacked his arms off and walked out of the kitchen. It was too early to deal with that. I then made my way to the library as I fancied reading something. I went through a large, double oak door and entered the large room. Not a speck of dust could be seen. There were many chairs and tables, but what caught my eye was the large windowsill. I looked for the book War of the Worlds.  soon found what I was looking for, and laid across the windowsill, my left arm on the panes of glass. The sun was shining through the window, and as I was reading I could see a long expanse of grass, and a bright blue sky.

The Major's POV

I had just eaten breakfast when I decided to go the library to read on the many war strategies throughout history. I had made my way across the winding corridors until I had finally arrived at ornate, double oak doors. I swiftly opened and closed then. I looked around the room, wondering where I could find the books I wanted. What befell my eyes made me stop in my tracks. Athena was sat at the windowsill reading. The sun shone through her long, brown wavy hair, and made her eyes seem to glow green. The white dress she wore hugged her slim, curvy figure, and made her seem ethereal. She looked like the embodiment of a Goddess, her beauty truly not of this world. Her smile made her eyes appear even more jovial, which I thought wouldn't be possible. Ach du großer Gott!

My heart began to race. What was this feeling, and why was I enraptured? Athena hadn't noticed my entrance, as she was too engrossed with her book. War of the Worlds, it seems we have more in common than you think Liebste. I walked over to the books and found what I was looking for. I turned to Athena, grabbed a chair and sat beside her. "Guten Morgen, Liebste." I greeted. She flinched slightly, and turned to look at me. I felt as though I was drowning in her ever changing eyes, giving me a thrill that I had never felt before. "Hello..." She trailed off. She was so adorable when she was nervous. "Why so nervous?"
