Chapter 21

Claude was standing their as stoic as ever. I was rather bemused, after all, Alucard and Claude came to this dimension. I sighed, stood aside and said, "Come in then." He thanked me, and walked down the corridor. "Please be quiet. People are in bed. Anyway the living room's the first door on the right. Would you like a drink?"

"No thank you." I nodded in acknowledgement, and made my way to the kitchen to get another drink. I was going to need it. I went into the kitchen, and picked up the bottle. I brought it with me as I made my way to the room and sat down. Claude was sat next to me, and Kyoya observed quizzically." Kyoya, this is Claude. Claude, this is Kyoya." I introduced. Both nodded, and Alucard was just watching with a grin on his face. "Who's looking after Alois?" I questioned.

"Hannah and the triplets." He replied. I nodded, and started to lay back in my chair. I yawned, and looked towards Kyoya."You can go to bed if you wanna." I smiled. He stood up, and headed to what was technically my bedroom. I gathered my blanket, pillow and drink. I placed the blanket on me, and the pillow behind my back. "So, what are men like you doing in a place like this?" I quipped. Alucard somewhat chuckled, and Claude remained indifferent.

"I just came to see how you were." Alucard replied.

"As did I." Claude answered.

"Why is that?" I asked, bemused.

"We know something happened between you and Anderson." Alucard stated. Claude nodded in agreement. "How...?"

"Well, let's just say that there was... Conflict between him and your brother as well as your sisters Kuro and Blanco. We simply put two and two together." Claude said. I nodded my head solemnly, recalling the events before I came to this world. "I'm fine. Thank you for coming to make sure that I was alright. But I must say, it was really unnecessary." I sighed. It was then my phone went off. The ring tone was Womanizer, and my phone was across the room. I made my way over to it, and answered it. "A little birdie told me you were feeling down, Nutty." The voice said. "Well hello to you too, Circe."

"Never mind that! I've arranged a little get together with you and someone you know. It will be in the Van Helsing dimension, and you will be attending a ball- you know which one- with a special someone."

"So, let me get this straight. You, thinking I was feeling down set up a blind date to make me feel better. Oh, not only that, it will be a masquerade ball with said someone I don't even know who. Am I getting this right?"

"Exactamundo! There's no backing out of it! You know it will be fun, Nutty. After all, there is so much that you don't know about what will happen that it will inevitably intrigue you." She replied smugly.

"You know me too well. Anywho, it's late here, so I better be getting off. Talk to you soon, Circus." I giggled at the old nickname. "Same to you, Nutty." She then hung up the phone. I looked back towards Alucard and Claude. Alucard seemed rather peeved, and I saw Claude's eyebrow twitch. "You're going on a date?" Alucard questioned angrily.

"Well, it's not exactly my choice. And I don't see how it's any of your business either way." Alucard opened his mouth as if he was going to say something, but quickly closed it. Defeated, he crossed him arms and huffed. "I better be tending to his highness now. And I assume that you will need to speak to Integra?" Claude stood up, and walked towards the exit. Taking the hint, Alucard grumbled, and also made his way out. We bid our farewells, and they swiflty disappeared into the darkness. I locked the door, and staggered to the sofa. I practically collapsed onto it, and quickly fell asleep.
