Chapter 23
warning: gets gory
"It will be sorted." I stated seriously, all previous joy diminishing into the flames of war. I hung up the phone, and held the watch on my left hand up near my face. I twisted it, causing it to glow a bright red. I began to whistle, the whistle of war. It was then I though of the song I myself liked, one that I adopted. I then began to sing it, as My body began to glow. My attire turned to shadow, and changed into a a motor biker's leather-wear.
I was gathering everyone. All of my sisters who came with me appeared behind me, as all of their watches glowed. They too began to whistle, and began singing the song along with me. We all stood on the edge of the balcony, as we all looked towards the ground. My brother, Camulos, also appeared, as did Reiji. Reiji seemed rather confused, as we all began holding hands, all singing in unison. I heard the door open behind us. I knew that it was both the Undertaker and Vlad. They too looked confused, as their eyes widened (at least Vlad's did, Undertaker's fringe still covered his eyes). All of began to glow also, and began to transform into our true forms. A dark, swirling portal appeared below us. Still holding hands, we jumped, and fell down the dark abyss.
We then landed on foreign ground. It appeared to be a vast, scorching desert, that would boil the flesh of any normal person. The rest of the Khepri was there, standing behind us. My siblings and Reiji then took to their positions. Stood before us was an army of 20,000. In front of them were 3 people. One wore a permanent scowl on his aged face. He was rather short, but had a menacing aura. To his left was a man with dark hair and pale skin, and was in his late thirties. To the old guy's left was an even older man than he, but he still looked sturdy, and battle-hardy. All three approached and stopped halfway towards us. I also went, and began approaching them. Kali and Circe also followed, as we then stopped a metre or so away from them. "I thought I told you about your idiotic crusades you officious fools." I growled. The youngest of the 3 smirked, and had an air of arrogance and silver-spoon-up-the-ass-to-the-mouth. "And what have we said about you and your impurities, mongrel?" He sneered. My eyes narrowed, as I glared at him. His demeanor changed to that of fear for a brief moment, but he quickly composed himself.
"This is now our land. It is claimed in the name of God." The one in the middle stated. Kali and Circe scoffed, as I smirked evilly. "So you think you've got friends in high places, with the power to put us on the run? You are gravely mistaken." I snarled maniacally, with evil amusement. Quick as a flash and before anyone could react, I materialised two weapons I had made myself. Two chained, long whip-like maces. On one there were two spiked balls which were morphed into faces looking sad and angry, whilst the other looked happy and demented. I swung them down on the one who spoke last, and instantly smashed him into the ground, leaving a gruesome mess of entrails and bone. "You're playing with the big boys now..."
Conflict then ensued. Everyone began to attack each other. I laughed crazily, as I used my maces to crush the skulls of the soldiers, and chortled with glee as their blood oozed on the sand. I jumped in the air, enemies surrounding me. I span as I landed, causing many of them to be thrown up into the blue sky, dead on impact. I saw Circe and Kali back to back as they struck people mercilessly. Shiloh, Camulos and Zmeya also started attacking, as did everyone else. Circe and Kali had matching swords, both glazed in crimson. Zmeya had a huge flame-thrower, as she burned others to a crisp, whilst smoking a very large cigar (it reminded me of Uncle Buck). Shiloh had two matching machine guns, and Camulos had a giant axe, with metallic skulls. The sky seemed to darken, as I allowed magic and my abilities to flow through my veins and arteries. Storm clouds filled the sky, bringing about a suffocating darkness. Thunder and lightning ensued, as I myself also began to darken and brighten in a contradictive yet complimentary fashion. Kuro and Blanco then jumped above me, landing on some of their heads as they simultaneously tore their heads away from their necks with their elongated claws. Many attempted to attack, but they were too quick, and dodged with ease.
There were 10,000 left, as the rest had fallen. Not a single member of the Khepri had fallen, just demonstrating our strength (especially due to their being very few Khepri members: there were only over a hundred). The insects swarmed around me, like bees to a foreign queen. I attacked mercilessly, as limbs were torn and bones were crushed.
There were then 5,000 left as orderly chaos still reigned. Someone then tried to jump onto my back. I flipped backwards in the air, grabbing at his shoulders. The force as I landed caused his spine to twist and splinter, as I heard him scream in agony. He laid on the ground, writhing, screaming and crying. Everyone else seem to focus on my siblings, and appeared to briefly forget about me and the man who lay before me. I approached him methodically, calculating his movements. He stopped moving, as he realised it was a futile effort, seen as though his spine had snapped. He quivered, and distorted fear were evident on his face. I stopped walking, and knelt down beside him. I stared into his eyes, reading his emotions.
He felt fear and... regret? I looked at him quizically, and asked, "Why do you feel regret?" His eyes widened, clearly not expecting a conversation with his would-be killer. "I regret the choices I have made, and the side I chose. I do not wish to die!" He yelled in distress. My eyes glowed, and a smirk slithered its way to my lips. "Do you wish to make a deal?" I questioned darkly. He nodded with enthusiasm, but groaned in pain from the now strenuous act. "Join me, serve me, and I shall let you live. I will heal you, and personally make sure that your safety is guaranteed. You will even have the choice to become something else. But, you will never betray me, and you will always do as I order without question. If you go against this, your life and your very soul, is forfeit. Is it a deal?" I held out my hand as to solidify the deal. Hesitantly, he shook it. Both darkness and light surrounded us, all sourced from our shaking hands. I then leaned over him, and placed the back of my hand where his third eye would have been. He the began to glow, and it spread throughout his blood vessels. His spine and other injuries healed as the glow reached those spots. I stood up and held out my hand, as the glow faded. He took my offered hand, and stood up.
