Seeking Control

Chapter 12

I was famished. The Edacem Affectum  part of me was clawing its way to the surface, after laying somewhat dormant. I could feel her emotions,enticing me to consume them. Abel and Esther's eyes widened in alarm. "Are you ok?" Abel asked, worried and concerned. I needed to get away from her. Without a moments hesitation I broke out of the house through the wall in the kitchen. I started running, way faster than the speed of a bullet. I could hear running behind me, but I kept on going. I eventually came across a vast field. It looked similar to the one I was in when I was 8 years old. I collapsed on the ground. My breathing became ragged, as I struggled to compose myself. Uncontrollably, I began to glow brighter. I glowed shades of blue, red, purple and green.  I felt around my dress, looking for a vial I always kept on my person. I found it, and quickly drank from it. The glow began to fade, as I took deep breaths. I lay on the ground, looking up at the stars. I heard the crunching of footsteps, so I turned my head to where it was. Abel was then stood above me, looking down at me. "Is Esther alright?" I asked.He chuckled lightly.

"After what just happened to you and you're concerned with another's welfare. Yes, she's fine. Are you? What happened?" I tapped the grass beside me. He then laid down beside me, as I explained, "I am a mixture of essentially all supernatural beings. What just happened in there was the brief awakening of a part of myself that is called an Edacem Affectum. This is an empathetic creature who not only feels others emotions, but feeds off of them too. What just happened there, was that I felt Esther's emotions towards you by accident, thus caused me to become ravenous. I'm Ok now though, as I have resolved the issue. There's no need to worry." I reassured. He quirked an eyebrow, and questioned "What was she feeling?"

"Desire." I simply replied. He nodded his head solemnly.

"I do not feel the same." He stated. I nodded.

"I better get back to my sisters." I said, getting up. I started walking back towards the house, and Abel soon caught up with me. It did not take long for us to find them. They had stopped playing and were talking to each other. As soon as they spotted me, they all ran and hugged me. "We were so worried!" Yui cried. The rest of my sisters looked at me knowingly. "You know, this party's gotten boring, shall we go back?" I asked.

"Hell yeah!" They all shouted. I then opened a portal to go back. Everyone else had already gone when I turned towards Abel and bid farewell." Until we meet again." I then walked through the portal, really needing to enjoy myself this time. 

The portal closed behind me, and the party was still in full swing. I then started to look around for William, the Undertaker and Grell. I eventually found them. William and the Undertaker saw me approach, but Grell still had her back to me. I then appeared behind her, titled my head towards her ear, and whispered, "I want to play a game." She jumped in surprise and turned towards me. When she finally registered it was me, she hugged me in a death grip. "Darling, this party is amazing~!"

"I know what'll make it better! Do you guys want to play spin the bottle?" They all nodded. I directed them into a private room, and set up the game. I explained the rules, only with a little twist. The person who spins the bottle has to dare the person who the bottle lands on. And to make things interesting there were no limits. I let Grell spin the bottle first. It spun twice, landing on William. "Will, I dare you to take your shirt off~!"

"Honestly." He sighed. He then slowly undid all of the buttons, and took off his shirt. Will then span the bottle, and it went to the Undertaker. "I dare you to let me wear your hat." The Undertaker then took off his hat and placed it on William's head. "Come on Will, that was boring~!" Grell complained. The Undertaker giggled slightly, and spun  the bottle. It then landed on me. "He~he~he. Athena, I dare you to kiss me." My eyes widened, as did Grell's. William did not look happy. "That is highly inappropriate." He said, with a hint of venom.
