Chapter 48:

April 12, 1962

The small plane was coming in low, rushing in towards the enormous runway beneath the craft. It hovered for another moment until the wheels came down against the pavement smoothly, feeling the speed of the plane begin to slow down.

George lifted his grip off of the top of Olivia's hand, realising he might have squeezed her hand too hard, possibly leaving an imprint, "Sorry Liv."

She gently smiled at him, "Not to worry, no damage here. John's worse."

The plane commenced to slowly make a few turns, winding down the long runway of the Hamburg Airport. George leaned over her, trying to look out the window.

Brian unbuckled his seatbelt and began to stroll down the aisle toward them. His eyes, too, were trying to peek out the windows, wondering what they would be expecting outside.

The boys were booked to play at The Star Club in Hamburg for the next seven weeks. So John, Paul, and Pete flew into Hamburg yesterday, settling in and reuniting with their friends Stu and Astrid.

Because George was feeling unwell, George decided not to accompany them and arrived today with Brian, Neil, and Olivia.

So far, Brian kept his promise to Olivia and got her bookings wherever the boys went. Her marriage and pregnancy wereannounced a few weeks after her wedding, bringing up a lot of attention to her.

Olivia needed to be extra cautious to not be seen with John or the boys since the press appeared to be following her every move. They were on the constant hunt to try to get any information about  Olivia, trying to get some sort of interview or conference about the mysterious man she married.

"Looks like they've found ya," George pointed out the window at the group of news crew and press that started to gather outside of the plane.

Olivia sighed, placing her hands on top of her now very noticeable bump, "Christ almighty," she whispered.

This pregnancy was a lot smoother so far than her last. She was currently around six months and she didn't have any episodes of nausea, swelling or backaches as to her last pregnancy.

Olivia stood up and adjusted her orange creme-colored shift dress and scooted out into the aisle. She snatched the white jacket she placed in the seat in front of her earlier and sighed, "Can't I just go out the back?"

Brian chuckled, "There's only one way out, Olivia, and I'm afraid you're gonna have to face them once again," he placed a hand on her shoulder, "But let me remind you.."

"I know," she inhaled in a deep breath, "No comments, no interviews. Just give them a smile for a good picture."

Brian nodded, "I'll be right there with you," he turned back to Neil and George, "As soon as they leave, there should be a car waiting for you to take you to the hotel."

Neil nodded, seeing George make himself more comfortable in the chair he was sitting in.

Olivia drew in another deep breath and slowly let it out as she reached the exit, staring at the ladder leading down. She noticed that since she was avoiding the press and their questions, they became more persistent and pushy. She was forever grateful for Brian and keeping her image up but she hated being secretive. She didn't care if anyone knew she was married to John but it was to protect him and help his career, and that was most important right now.

As she began to descend down the stairs, she smiled at the press as they suddenly began to crowd around the staircase, snapping photos of her and yelling out questions.

"Olivia, when is the little one due?"
"How long will you be here in Hamburg?"
"What projects do you have here in Hamburg?"

These were all easy questions she knew she could have answered but as she glanced over at Brian, she trusted that he knew what was best and kept her mouth shut, pushing through the crowd.
