The yellow taxi pulled up in front of the grand Waldorf Astoria Hotel on Park Avenue, its arrival signaling the start of a new chapter in Olivia's life. She leaned forward, handing the driver a wad full of American bills, and then stepped out onto the bustling street.

Five months had passed since she had left Liverpool, and in that time, Olivia had already fallen head-over-heels for the city of New York. It was a world away from the familiar landscapes of London and Liverpool, a place that pulsed with an energy and vibrancy all its own.

As she watched the taxi disappear into the flow of traffic, Olivia paused, taking a deep, steadying breath. The air was different here - crisp and alive, infused with the scents of street vendors and the faint aroma of car exhaust. It was a far cry from the salty, sea-tinged breeze of her hometown.

A serene smile blossomed on Olivia's face as she took in the bustling energy of the city around her. Her eyes danced with fascination as she observed the people scurrying the streets, some hurriedly consuming food as they walked, others sprinting to catch the next taxi that zoomed by.

The symphony of sounds that filled the air was unlike anything she had ever experienced. Leaning her head back, Olivia's gaze traveled upwards, marveling at the towering skyscrapers that soared towards the heavens, their imposing frames blocking the sun's warm rays from caressing her skin.

Closing her eyes, she allowed herself to become immersed in the noise of the city. The rumble of countless vehicles, the chatter of pedestrians, the blaring of car horns - each sound wove together into a unique urban tapestry that enveloped her senses.

Olivia knew deep down that her decision to come to New York was exactly what she needed — a chance to escape the heartbreak and unexpected end of her relationship with John. Though the pain of their parting still lingered, she realized that putting physical and emotional distance between them was crucial for her healing and growth.

She couldn't shake the 'what-ifs' that swirled in her mind. If only things had played out differently that night, maybe they'd still be together, their love withstanding the challenges they had faced. Olivia wished she could go back and change the course of events, to find a way for them to remain a part of each other's lives.

But as she stood in front of the grand hotel, she realized that this was not the time to dwell on those emotions. This was her chance to prove to herself, to John, and to the world, that she could overcome the heartbreak and make her dreams a reality. The city before her pulsed with energy and possibility, a blank canvas upon which she could forge a new path.

As she stepped into the posh hotel suite on the 18th floor, she immediately saw Larry standing in the middle of the room, phone pressed to his ear. He was exactly where she had left him before her third photoshoot that morning.

Larry glanced over at Olivia's arrival and held up a finger, silently signaling her to wait a moment as he continued his conversation. His brow furrowed in concentration, his free hand gesturing to stay as he spoke into the receiver.

Olivia let out a deep sigh of relief as she set her purse on the coffee table and kicked off her high heels. Her feet were aching from the hours spent standing and moving about, trying on an endless collection of shoes and dresses for the photoshoot.

With a slight groan, she plopped down onto the plush sofa, kicking her feet up and allowing her body to sink into the cushions. The tension in her muscles began to slowly unwind as she settled into the comfortable seat.

Larry, who had just finished the phone call, glanced over at Olivia, taking in the smile that now graced her face. "I see we are in higher spirits today," he remarked, setting down his notepad. "I suppose the shoot went well?"
