"Daddy where is Mason." I know that I took away his pain. He wasn't crying anymore and his body didn't shake.

"He's resting sweetheart. " He pulled me to him and hugged me.

"Can we go see him?" I pulled back and look my Dad in the eyes. He didn't look as sad as before but he still looked kinda sad. I guess that is what happens when your mate dies. You get really sad.

"No not yet. He needs to rest so he can get better." I gave him an unsure look.

"It's my fault Mommy is dead." I looked at him. If Mom is gone because she did not get enough rest. I knew that was my fault because I went in there when I wasn't supposed to.

"No sweetheart it's not your fault." Dad smoothed my hair down. I pulled away from him.

"Yes it is." I argued. "Do not lie to me." I gave my dad a mad look.

"Te..." I held up my hand to stop him.

"Go find out about Mason." I told him. He stood up and his shoulders dropped. I turned and looked at Calvin.

"Is it my fault." I asked him. I think my question surprised him.

"I don't know." He told me. I walked up and hugged his legs. He kneeled down and picked me up.

"You didn't lie did you." I crossed my arms over my chest.

"No Princess. I did not lie." He told me. I wrapped my arms around his neck.

"Good." I cried into his neck. He held my head close to his shoulder and sat down on a chair. He moved me so my legs went across his lap and I was sitting on his right leg. He rubbed his hand on my back. It made me calm down.

"Calvin if you ever leave me I will never forgive you." I told him. He rubbed the tears from my face with his thumb.

"I will try my best to never leave you sweetheart. But there will be times when I won't be able to be here with you. At those times I'll be in your heart." He promised and I nodded.

"Close your eyes." He told me and I pressed my hands over my eyes. I chuckled and moved my fingers so that I could see him. He caught me looking so I covered my eyes again laughing. I felt something around my neck, but I was scared. It felt like one of those.. those... necklacing things.

"Open them." I looked down and saw the most beautiful necklacing ever.

"I love it. " I thanked him. I threw my arms around his neck hugged him.

"Happy Birthday Princess." He kissed the side of my head.

"You don't remember anything that happened?" Hayden asked me.

"No that's what I just said." I rubbed my temples. Hayden, Christal, and I were currently sitting in my kitchen. A month ago if you would have told me I would he doing this I would have thought you were crazy.

"Guys I have to go to school." Christal stood up. She kissed Hayden and he kissed her back. "Come by more often Tess." She smiled at me and left.

I stood up getting another cup of coffee. I pulled the milk out of the fridge and smelled it. I haven't been here in a while so I don't know if any of the food here is still good.
